3 of us ate there. The service was great. We ordered the paella marinara for 1 and shared it between 2. It was more than enough.... There were leftovers. The Rice was moist and the seafood wasn't dry or chewy. I'm from southern Spain and the paella wasperfect, just like I grew up with. We also ordered the grilled octopus which was tender and sweet. Definitely have come back. Read more

It's a little tight as far as space inside the restaurant and the parking was definitely a task, but once inside, you can sit... down and enjoy the great food and awesome drinks! Read more

Excellent Service! I love soup. The chicken soup was outstanding. Hot bread and butter to go with it. Red Sangria made fresh... and on point! Paired nicely with the garlic pork chops, red beans and rice with boiled potatoes. Also the restaurant andrestrooms get an A+ fir cleanliness. I will definitely be going back for another lunch date. ???? Read more

We had a great dinner for at Algarve's Portuguese restaurant today. We ordered Paella Valenciana for two. There was an $8... upcharge for the lobster but it was well worth it. See my photo. Paella was accompanied by glasses of Pinot Grigio wine and hotPortuguese rolls. Everything was delicious, service was good and everyone was friendly. One warning they close at 6:00pm onSundays so come early. We'll be back soon! Read more

We live in north Jersey (Bergen County) and was tile shopping all over. Found ourselves in Elizabeth NJ late Saturday night but... we found the perfect porcelain tiles for our kitchen. By this time we were already starving and decided to go to a Portugueserestaurant 'near me' which took us to Algarve Restaurant on Van Buren Ave. They were pretty booked but accommodated us anyhow. Not a fancy place by any means but great food! Can't complain about service as these days, you have to just be thankful thatworkers do show up. It seems they were short-handed but everyone was picking up where they can with a pleasant attitude. Overallexperience was great. Will go back if we're in the area again and will recommend for everybody to try. Read more
