I grew up when this building was a country store and they have kept atmosphere of a country building when you walk in. The look... is welcoming and makes you feel like you're coming home. I fully recommend the fish and chips as it was delicious. Great foodand atmosphere. A place that makes you feel like you're home. Read more
Great old timey atmosphere in a gorgeous old building. Lots of vintage photos & antiques around. Fantastic eats there! I had... the BBQ beef brisket sandwich. OMG! To die for! And a fresh homemade slice of pumpkin pie for dessert! So fresh it was stillwarm from the oven. Light & flaky crust! Yummers. The Brisket was so tender it melted in your mouth! And the milkshakes werereally really tasty! Definitely worth the drive to Elgin to have a great meal in a nice country store atmosphere! Read more

Cute store but service is lacking. Waited an hour for food (lady said it'd only be 20 mins) when people coming in after us kept... getting their meals before us. When we got the food it was starting to get cold and soggy. The young lady with the half blonde,half brown hair really needs a lesson in customer service. She was worrying more about what was on her phone than takingcustomer orders. Watched a customer stand there for a couple of minutes before that young lady even acknowledged her because shewas too busy on her phone. I felt bad for the tall lady as she was running around while the other one just stood there. The talllady was pleasant to deal with though. Read more
