Have ALWAYS loved Village inn, esp. for the pies. It's that time of year, I wanted their pumpkin pie - that HAD ALWAYS been SO... delicious. BUT they have obviously CHANGED THEIR RECIPE. The rest of the food was good, the servers were very nice. But thepumpkin pie ???? & you're KNOWN for pies, was VERY DISAPPOINTING. Will not be getting our THANKSGIVING pumpkin pie there thisyear. We are regulars, love the food and the environment. However, this time, we waited a good while for our breakfast to arrive. A... party of three was seated after us, they received their food right away, before us, and we were only a party of two. My & my husband went to this village inn since it was closest to our house. The quality of the food wasn?t worth how long we... waited & how much we paid for. I could?ve made my own breakfast at home & been by far much more satisfied.. I ordered Denveromelette w chocolate chip pancakes. My omelette & hashbrowns were burnt & extremely greasy, I lost my appetite after the firstbite, so I had to take the rest to go. I had asked the waiter if the pancakes had chocolate chips inside & he said yes. When Igot home, the pancakes only had chocolate chips sprinkled on top & as well as burnt ? No where I?ve ever gone for pancakes werethey burnt .. we waited 30 minutes for burnt food & something I didn?t ask for. For this exact experience, I will never returnto village inn again because this isn?t the first time I?ve had a bad experience at this location. I?ve read the reviews and I must say, first and foremost there are no flies at this location. It?s clean, the staff is nice, and... professional. Didn?t see any ?grab-ass? going down. Our server, Lynette, was awesome. She was handling about 5 tables at thesame time. Wrote down everything, says a lot about the quality of service she wants to produce. The food tasted great. Otherthan the coffee being more on the stronger side I?ve got nothing bad to say about my experience. Read more
I?m not out to bash anyone or any business! However we have noticing that the quality is not the same! I understand that they... are in a transition period from Village Inn to Buttersmith but the customers should not have to put up with the lack of quality.It?s was not even close to what I remember from just a few months ago. I?m not going to go into specifics because it?s too muchto share! Family of five and not one meal was satisfactory! Hopefully it changes! In the meantime we won?t be going back. Food was ok other than my grandmothers. My grandmother got half a sandwich with soup. Her soup ended up being cold so she told... the gentleman that her soup was cold so he took it, by the time you know it I was finished with my food and so was mygrandmother. She NEVER got her soup back and we never got any refills on our drinks. I never saw our waitress around to ask him.So I did let one of the workers know and manager came to tell us sorry and to let us know they will take off $2. Lol ok sure..what great customer service?
