I go often with my husband and friends. The food is good. Service is good. The building could use a major renovation. When the... lights are dimmed it is sort of okay. When the lights are on, the place is in dire need of help. Read more

I frequent here. Service is always excellent. Food is always good but there were a couple occasions where there were rude... employees. On an occasion a rude hostess maybe because we arrived 20 minutes prior to closing. Then on another occasion we had aparty of about 10 people a man appeared to have been a busser, assuming I don?t understand Spanish was making distastefulcomments because we initially told them only 6 and had to move to a bigger table. Hence 3 stars. Read more

I had the soup/salad (clam chowder) with glass of Sangria. Very disappointed with the soup. It was just a white liquid, didn't... have almost anything in it. Was very tasteless. Salad was good. When my bill came, I was charged separate for soup and salad, however, the menu showed it together for $13.95. When I questioned it, was told, I should've ordered the bread bowl of soupwith salad. Which was not even on the menu! ( I would've preferred the bread bowl). And, the glass of Sangria was also notvery good. Service was slow, and though the restaurant was full of customers, I noticed they had plenty of staff. Overall, Ispent over $38 (two drinks...Margarita and a Sangria), soup and salad. VERY disappointed. I don't think the manager and/orowner of restaurant ever reads these reviews, and I didn't complain at the restaurant. The young waitress are not the ones tocomplain to. There were three of us, and were there from about 5:45 pm to 8:35 pm. I don't think they gave us the "happy hour"prices on our drinks, either. Very disappointed. Read more

My family and I had been wanting to go to Pelicans for awhile. I had never been before so I did not know what to expect. I love... seafood and all I wanted for my birthday was a good seafood dinner. My family and I decided to celebrate at Pelicans. We drovealmost 20 minutes to arrive at this oasis in the middle of the Chihuahuan desert. It was a Monday night, semi busy, and theywillingly and cheerfully accommodated our party of 12. We did make reservations the day before. Our waitress, Carla, wasoutstanding. She had a great attitude, attended us often and did her best to make sure we had an enjoyable time. I started offwith a Pelicans Mezcal Margarita which gave me an enjoyable buzz through out the evening. For appetizers I tried the calamariand mussels. Both were great. The butter of the mussels increased the flavor and experience. The appetizers were finished downto the shell. For the main entree I had the Cold Water Lobster Tail with garlic mashed potatoes and a bowl of New England clamchowder. The New England clam chowder was perfect. Very rich, creamy and full of flavor. I added some roasted garlic that comeswith the complimentary bread to the clam chowder for some extra garlic flavor. That's just because I like garlic. The garlicmashed potatoes were great. I usually eat my mashed potatoes with gravy but these potatoes did not need gravy. Last but notleast, the Lobster Tail. It's not easy to make a perfect Lobster tail, especially since it's a delicacy. I would say thatPelicans did a perfect job. The Lobster was cooked just right. It was very tender, delicious, had that slight sweetness you'dhope for, and the side of lemon and butter just increased the experience. You really don't need the butter or lemon, but I likethe added flavor. Even the rice under the Lobster was great. It soaked up the butter and dripping flavors while eating theLobster. The rice made a great addition to the plate. By the time we were all done eating, everyone's plates were cl Read more

I went here because of the reviews and stars. The food is fantastic. We ordered 2 appetizers, muscles and calamari. The... calamari was long and thick. Not the circular, they are better quality and taste much better than the usual circle kind. Theappetizers were amazing. The entrees were- salmon with mushrooms. The salmon was overcooked, but it tasted good. The mushroomswere incredibly flavorful. Fish and chips. The fish was cooked well. Still moist and flaked apart when it was bitten off. Sweetpotato fries had a perfect crisp and had a good hint of salt sprinkled on them. Sirloin meal was perfect. The steak was cookedjust right and flavored deliciously. The price for lobster was a little high though its lobster. Presentation was lovely and wasdevoured quickly. The butter comes in a warmer. Made the fancy feel. What is not pictured is the bacon cheese burger with thickfrench fries. It was requested for the burger to be cooked medium. It didn't come out that way. Definitely well done, but it wasstill eaten and enjoyed. The kids meal, teriyaki chicken was fantastic. Moist chicken with a burst if pineapple teriyakiflavor. Our waiter was great. Unfortunately I don't remember his name. He was very attentive and explained every detail we askedfor. He had to go back to get prices for certain things that were not priced, which is expected. We never had an empty glass andhe was constantly checking to make sure we were good. We called prior to arriving when it opened and a table was reserved forus. You do have to walk around with a mask and enter with a mask but while you eat it can be removed. There was no thermometercheck for fever as some restaurants do. We sat in the front room surrounded by windows. Only 2 tables were open in that sectionbecause of the limited # of capacity during Covid. The restaurant was cool and clean. Plenty of space between the tables. Thereare a lot of interesting reads along the walls of the restaurant. I can see why they have been r Read more
