A slice of the Dominican Republic in El Paso. Food was better than expected. Terrific customer service and the Dominican music... amplified the Caribbean atmosphere. Read more

I would like to start by saying that I am Dominican, so I know Dominican food/flavor. I went to Merengue this week, as I just... recently moved to the area. I started with passion fruit juice and an empanada, they were both delicious and the Empanada had somuch flavor it reminded me of home. I decided to order the mofongo de ajo with fried pork chunks and OMG, it was so good!Mofongo was not hard and the pork was fried, but so juicy, I was so happy. I ate so much I didn’t eat dinner, the portions aregreat and the prices fair. The staff is amazing, Luz was my server and she was great! I will be back very soon, I want to tryeverything on the menu!! Read more

Food was good but not really great compared with other Dominican restaurants I had been on another states. I only went once for... the bar/disco area. Wasn't really pleasant. Music was WAY TOO LOUD although the DJ did try to mix it up was a LOT of Urban andreggaeton which it is not my thing. Stayed for like an hour, is small, and can get really crowded. Bar was good. Drinks werewell done, prices fair. Read more

The seafood soup was excellent; I enjoyed the music while eating my dinner. It took the food a while before it arrived; possible... cook to order. Pleasant environment with friendly staff. Read more

I usually like to only write positive reviews but this place really needs to step it up. They didn’t have many of the things... they offer in their menu. Service was super slow. And when the food finally came it was not even ok. The mofongo was super dryand they didn’t have any sauce or mojo to put on it. It was also flavorless. I couldn’t eat more than one bite. Theempanadas were not golden and actually almost empty inside. It really did not make any justice to the real Dominican food. Read more

Decent hole in the wall type place. It’s nicer inside than the outside suggests. Reasonably priced and good Dominican food.... Our Dominican friend tells us it’s pretty authentic. The plaintains were AWESOME and so was the menundo. The steak was a bittough but good flavor. I recommend! Read more
