Reviews for Katsura Sushi Bar in El Paso, TX
Food was delicious, place was clean, ambiance was relaxing, and our waitress was super sweet. Would definitely come back.
Such a shame that the food here is actually pretty good but every single time I have dined in, the service is horrible. You... can’t call in an order because they will never answer. Staff is always standing around, talking and most of the time it’sdead. Not sure how this place has stayed afloat and how people keep going back. If this place had better service, it wouldthrive. I hope the owner cleans house one day because they need to. Read more
Again, 3 years later I tried to give them another chance. I ordered a squid salad, and a seaweed salad. There was a quarter of... an inch of squid on one of the to go containers, and a quarter of an inch of seaweed salad on the other container. It was $40!Underneath the 'salad" was 2" of cucumber strips and some rice noodles. $40!! My husband went in to pick up those two saladsand waited 40 minutes. Why are they still in business? I always try to support locally owned businesses but I'm done. Peoplethat continue to support this restaurant either get fantastic service and food, or they don't know what to expect and theysettle. We got baby squid and 5 rolls that we shared. So I can say %100 there are not good sushi rolls here. This is bad sushi. Chinese... buffet sushi. Doesn't look right, doesn't taste right. Not the worst I've had, maybe the 3rd worst I've had. Especially stayaway from the rolls that have smoked oysters from a can. Honestly so bad that somehow the coke from a can was flat. How doescoke in a can go flat lol. I've never even heard of that. The service is not very good. They don't have sake because they losttheir alcohol license she said, so the bar that take up a good portion of the room looks like it's stocked with dozens of largebottles of Torani peach (and coconut) liquor or schnapps or something. It's well decorated and has a cool atmosphere in here Iguess so it gets 2 stars. I eat sushi in every city I visit I've maybe been to a couple hundred places so I know what sushi is.They may be able to trick some people that haven't had much sushi but not me. Read more
Totally catfished by this place great atmosphere… portions are not enough to feed a nine year old, The sushi rolls such as “... Viking “ and “ Las Vegas maki “ where sub par, I don’t have high expectations, but when you do not have right portions, and can’t make miso soup right. I was just disappointed Read more
service was horrible, cold rolls, cold rice, no napkins, no silverware, no refills until requested. On the same visit a woman... who was allergic to onions specifically asked for no onions and still got onions... went to the back to use restroom and therewas our server, on her phone, scrolling away, sitting down while our food was waiting to get cold. dirty tables, chippedplates... i caught this place on a bad day I hope. I do not recommend this place on the west side. Read more
Lots of creative rolls with local influence along with standard rolls found just about everywhere. Sushi was fresh, well... prepared, excellent presentation, and service was outstanding! Read more
The flavors from this place is never consistent. Sometimes the sushi is good and sometimes it’s really bad, even the sauces. ... Yesterday I ordered sushi and it was bland, Walmart sushi is better compared to what I got yesterday. Also the eels sauce wasextremely bitter that it was inedible. Never ordering from here again after my experience from yesterday. Read more
