I called to let them know the tamales were raw the manager said she checked them and they were fine. I said I would take them... back so they can see for themselves and I told her I just want them replaced and she said I could take them back and if theylooked fine according to her , she would replace it if they looked fine she wouldn?t . When she said I just lost total respectat this point im just going to toss them and I just won?t go back . So much for trying to support local businesses. Read more
I liked the tamales good flavor and the sweet bread very fluffy
Good, tasty, freshly made tamales as usual. The pan dulce (sweet bread) is good as well. Yummy! The staff is friendly and... polite. They greet you with a smile and are quite professional. The only thing I would ask, not that I'm complaining, is thatthe tamales have a little more of a kick. That's just a personal preference. Seriously though, they are delishes and I'drecommend then to anyone looking for authentic tamales. Kudos Gussies Tamales. Great job. Read more

Definite five-star establishment. Their displays were absolutely loaded with pastries, even though I went in the evening. I... ordered a few plus some donuts and they were all super fresh and delicious. I also ordered a bunch of tamales and they were alsoreally good, definitely plumper than what I expected. Read more

Best tamales ever. The staff is super friendly and can answer all your questions. I got the pork tamale and the green chili... cheese tamale. They are big, two will definitely fill you up. I was so full I brought my chocolate sweet bread home. That wasfantastic and recommended to me by the woman behind the counter. The food is very affordable so make sure you leave a good tip!! I've had all four tamale flavors here, and they're all solid. I don't usually like tamales because it's difficult to get the... ratio of dough to filling correct. But these were perfect, and they were large. Two is enough for a big appetite, three ifyou're starving. The best, for me, are easily pork/red and chicken/green. The bakery itself is decent, but don't expect to beblown away. It's standard Mexican bakery stuff. But there's still something special about being able to grab a couple tamales,an empanada, and some biscochitos to go. It sets you right, and for about $10. Read more
