I came here with very high expectations. This place had really good reviews and the local hotel I was staying at also... recommended this restaurant. I started off with guacamole. The chefs forgot to add salt. The guacamole needed a little salt.How do you forget salt? There wasn't a salt shaker at my table, so I couldn't add salt. Next, I ordered a sirloin steak (I'mnot a ribeye guy). The steak was cooked perfectly. However, I think the chef added my salt from my guacamole to my steak. Thesteak was so salty, I couldn't finish it. I sat at the bar and the service was hit and miss. The music was very loud, so it washard for the bar tenders to hear me. I wouldn't eat here again. This is the best Great American Steakhouse I have been to in the Las Cruces/El Paso area. The inside of the building is set up... wonderfully. The food was amazing. Best beans I have tasted in a restaurant. My only complaint, which is minimal is no provoloneor mozzarella cheese for the burgers. Read more

I went to eat with my husband and I will say great American stake house has one of the best burgers in the area. Also the beans... they serve you there are wonderful simply great. I like that they have tap beer and is also amazing and tasty! The reason Idon’t give them 5 ???? even if they are one of my favorites is because most of the time the tables are dirty and smell veryrare. Also I wish they could have better options for drinks. Very nice looking, but a little small though. Our server, Eric, was very nice. First thing, the bread. Not very good for a... restaurant. The restaurant itself was very loud. Could barely keep conversation with noise from neighboring conversations, andmusic I could barely make out. The food came out in good time, it was cooked well, but completely bland. And our loaded bakedpotatoes had no butter?? Nothing made me say “wow”, or “Oh now that’s good”. I wouldn’t recommend this place as myfirst or second choice. Basic experience. Read more

I can’t begin to tell you how great our evening turned out – I had friends from Monterrey telling me that your steaks are... the best steaks they have ever tasted. As good friends that consider each other family we sampled each others food, everythingwas absolutely mouth watering. Food was lukewarm. Service was great. Lemonade was very refreshing. The cheddar and bacon burger was a bit of a disappointment.... The bacon was not well cooked and was chewy and fatty. The beef patty was very good well done. I spend 2 hours here which wasmore than I expected to spend in a place for lunch. So come with plenty of time to spare. Read more

Nice new contemporary version of it's older self. The wait for seating was about 30 minutes. Decided to have a seat at the bar... and order from the full menu there. There was a good variety of selections but was notified they were out of the best saladwhich looked delicious. I had the house salad, hatch green chilli soup, and ribeye. All were delicious. They staff was a bit toremove empty plates and keep area clearer after eating. The ambiance is nice and modern and very refreshing. If the can executeon the minor details this place has the opportunity to be a great dining opportunity. I would recommend this even though therewas a small shortfall on attentiveness of the wait staff at the bar. Read more
