Short version: if you’ve got time to kill for pretty okay food, come to basico Long version: sat us at a dirty table, never... brought silverware until AFTER the food was already served. Waited about 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order, rushedus to order food as well because if not he’d “have to take this other tables order and then it’s an hour wait”. Broughtone of the drinks in a dirty cup, TWICE. Brought the wrong food and had to wait another 15 minutes for the right one. Waitedanother 25+ minutes for the check. This is a perfect spot for a small group. Everything on the menu so fast has been amazing. It's not ridiculously priced, and... the location and ambiance feel like you're not coming in El Paso. I didn't give it a 5, because they don't have enough staff toprovide service in a timely manner and some of the tables rock, but that seems to be pretty common nowadays. The host/hostess,and servers are super pleasant, so overall I still think it's worth every penny. Read more
Unacceptable experience. Poor customer service. Waited over an hour to finally be told the food was not yet ready and when asked... to be prepared as take out this is the presentation of the take out. The food was placed directly on the box. Our server AndreaCamarillo C was un attentive and had no care for the service provided. Read more
The fish and chips were delicious battered to perfection not too thick just crispy enough. Server with just the right amount of... fries. The fish tacos were also good, but could've used more sauce. Overall a great place. Read more
We ordered potstickers for appetizer, the bacon and brie burger with Mac n cheese, and the Baja fish tacos. We had a good... experience, enjoyed the food and plan to come during brunch hours. It is a smaller restaurant located inside a corner of theCoronado tower. Parking might be hard to find but is free. We had a latte after dinner and really enjoyed it. Everything wasworth the try! We wanted to do something quick but not too extravagant for lunch in between errands. We made the decision to try this place as... we had not before, and it was a great choice. The brunch menu is light but very savory, and has many options. I had the berriesand mascarpone pancakes and not only was it delicious, the plating was pleasing and warranted a picture immediately. This is moreso a reflection of the food than anything else. The atmosphere is very cool and modern, you feel like you are in a... special place that really stands out on its own. The service was very nice and there's a good variety of options on the menu.Overall the aesthetic is cohesive and spot on. With that said, I wish the food matched that attention to detail. Little thingsto make the food as special as the rest of the cafe. More robust seasonings to make chicken and waffles not just literallychicken tenders and waffles with basic syrup. Recently visited Basico for Brunch, the pictures on Google had me with high expectations that where just not met, The host was... quick to greet us and get us seated but it was a bit of a wait to place or order, when food arrived it looked great but thetaste just wasn't there, pancakes were visually appealing but ended up being tough and chewy. Service was quite slow and wenoticed people that where seated left after no one took their order for a while. Food was highly priced as well, definitely morethan what I believe it was worth. After this first experience I don't think I'll come back anytime soon. Read more
