This place is a must try! We went in with our family and tried the zucchini fries, pretzel bites, and dirty tots. Everything was... delicious, the zucchini fries were my favorite! They cut the zucchini fresh daily and you can tell the difference in the taste!The batter on the outside is crisp and perfectly seasoned. 08/19/2022: This was our 2nd visit to this pub. The establishment was busy, but we were able to get seated as soon as we walked... in. Our server was welcoming and friendly. Hubby had the burger which he thoroughly enjoyed. It had a nice, thick and juicypatty with fresh veggies on a good bun that could handle the heft of this burger. A good amount of sweet potato fries came withthe order. I had the turkey club with fries. I enjoyed this sandwich. Turkey on clubs are usually salty, but this one wasabsolutely tasty. We had a great visit to this restaurant and we highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable too! It's a greatstop to grab a bite when traveling to/ from Lake Tahoe. Read more

I've only been here once, thus the 4 stars. Had the fish and chips, and well it tasted like other meals I've had, so it was good... but didn't stand out. It was a comfortable and nice quiet place, of course we did arrive around 2pm. Staff was friendly andattentive, nice experience, I would go back and try a different meal at least. Read more

So I ordered their O.G. Cottage Pie on Doordash, and I gotta say I was pretty disappointed. The food did taste pretty good,... however the presentation and portions were very subpar. I would expect that something like a Shepherd's pie, without anystructure of it's own, would be served in a bowl. I was rather shocked when I saw that the stew was tossed into a generic to gobox, where it inevitably all sloshed to one side. This is not the fault of the delivery driver, and this would have almostcertainly happened no matter what. Next, I would like to address the portions. In the photo, I have a tea spoon (NOT a tablespoon) for reference (Note that the photo is taken after I have only taken a single small bite from the front left corner of thedish). So, you can see that I was only able to get about 8-9 smallish bites from this meal that I paid a whopping $21 (notincluding delivery fees) for! I don't think it's unreasonable to be at least a little miffed when I pay $21, and I get what Iwould consider to be a kids-sized meal of a dish that is generally associated with large, hearty portions. The only redeemingaspect to this dish was that yes, it did taste very good (thus the 2 stars and not 1), and I bet if I had eaten at therestaurant I would most likely have had a better experience. However, in this age where online and delivery orders are far moreprevalent, I think the best way for restaurants to avoid reviews like this is to simply not offer delivery until sloppy orderslike this never happen. 36 Handles is a really fun pub. The food is excellent as one would expect from a pub. The service was terrific. Our server... was attentive without hovering, engaging without prying and was able to enhance the experience by making suggestions. Therewas a live band when we went and people were having a marvelous time. It's a great place to socialize and enjoy an evening. Read more
