Oh my goodness! I was skeptical about going to an Italian restaurant in Kansas. I had every right to be. We didn't realize... it was attached to a motel. (Bad Sign) We were the only lunch customer so the owner spent a great deal of time with us. Whoeverwas doing the cooking needs to go back to basics. The tomato sauce was bitter and oily. The "grated cheese " was the powder typeyou put on popcorn. The salad dressing came in the original bottles and had expired. There was no air conditioning. I had torewash my hands after turning the knob on the disgusting sink. If the board of health has been there, it wasn't recently. Honestly, just a big NOPE Read more

This place was phenomenal!! It's a wonderful hole in the wall. Best Italian cuisine I have ever had. The owner is extremely... welcoming and loving. You can tell she enjoys what she does and makes it with love. It may be a little old and warm but by godit's amazing. It makes you feel like you're at home with a blanket of love. 10/10! Will be eating her again and making everyoneI know eat here. Read more

This is a small, hole in the wall eatery. The owner, who is 74 years young, has decided she wants the flexibility to be able to... shut down for a week to go see her family when she wants. To be able to do this she runs the entire place on her own. She isthe hostess, the waitress, the cook, the dishwasher, the cashier. She does get someone else to change her light bulbs, cause at74 she as decided she shouldn't be climbing a ladder!!!!!!! As a hostess, she was okay. As a waitress she will make the mostold school souls grin with happiness. No pen and paper, she goes off of memory alone, and did not make a single mistake withour table. As a cook, I want her to adopt me. The food was absolutely amazing. The home made bread was to die for, the pastaand sauces were nothing short of a miracle only possible from a truly loving chef. She bragged she could cook anything andafter eating her food I realize it was not bragging, just a statement of fact. Go with a group, be prepared to be patient andhave an exception time with amazing service and even better food. Read more

10/10 recommend! Fantastic hole in the wall. We had a great time visiting with the owner as she served us. Bread was *chef's... kiss*, not pictured was a yummy salad, and the chicken alfredo was melting your mouth. You can tell that Angie loves tocook! To address the other reviews- yes, it's a bit warm and outdated- the food and customer service MORE than made up for it! Read more

If you scroll through my pics, my pasta plate when I was done eating is the best review I can leave. The best Italian food I... have eaten since I lived in Italy! Angie is the co-owner with her husband. It is one of those restaurants that don't lookspecial on the outside,, but stepping through the doorway was like traveling to my landladies apartment in Italy. You walk inand immediately feel not like a customer, but an invited guest and we left feeling like a part of the family. Going backtomorrow to have my in laws experience it!! Read more

Nice little old place. We got served by the sweet old cook. The prices were not as cheap as some make it seem but still very... reasonable. It has a older feel but big windows and all kinds of character. The food was great and we got all kinds of specialattention. Read more

Huge portions, super tasty food and great service. The place just underwent a huge renovation, so looks brand new. It's hard... to believe there is such a great Italian restaurant in the middle-of-nowhere Kansas! Read more
