Reviews for Los Moles Beer Garden in El Cerrito, CA
The food was good but one of my friends had blue hair in her food. They brought back another dish with less fish in it (3)... pieces. They brought back a final dish, shrimp Enchiladas.you The chicken was dry. A homeless/ mental illness came by and brokethe glass in the soda/ water machine. The drink was weak! Read more
A very cozy and comfortable place to eat with Fran some finally, I am definitely coming back to this place since I’m a huge... fan of los moles. I couldn’t be more happy to be served the way the people that work here serve. Read more
Great place to get all-you-can-eat tacos ????! The cost for that is $19.99/person. They had a live DJ spinning... electronically-remixed latin songs????. Beer ???? garden that features clean outdoor seating for couples or larger groups. Ourparty of 5 sat outside, and we enjoyed the experience. The taco bar features four proteins in: chicken ????, pork ????,chicharrones (pigskin), and mixed (tripe). I was surprised that they were lacking the traditional carne asada. I prefer alpastor, so I was a little disappointed. The cook takes your order, dips street-sized tortillas in oil and heats it on thegrill, and then puts the protein of your choice on the tortillas. You put the condiments such as red onion, cilantro, beans, radish, and salsa on your own. They had one green and one red salsa. The reason for not giving 4 or 5 stars was due to limitedprotein selection (missing carne asada or al pastor). Also, the chicharrones had a chewy (hard to eat) texture, and the mixedhad tripe and other things in it that I didn't prefer. The other thing that really turned me and some of us off, was the factthat the cook dipped the tortillas in the oils of the cooked proteins before placing it on the grill. We didn't prefer thatbecause the tacos became too oily, and really messy to eat. The oil sits in your stomach, and doesn't feel good. It alsoprevents one from eating more tacos than you'd think you'd eat, because the oils fill up your belly. I'd suggest that theydon't do that, and then I'd go back for the AYCE tacos. Otherwise, if I do go back, I'd order from the regular menu. Thewaitress was helpful, and the ambiance was nice. The beer garden was spacious and clean. Going at night around 6:00pm, it getscold outside, so highly recommend bringing a jacket ????. Thank you Los Moles for a good experience. Read more
Amazing food. The people who work here are very friendly and kind. Love their taco Tuesdays
We celebrated a special occasion over dinner and loved it! It's slightly pricey in my opinion, but the food is well worth... it. Everything was delicious. We had the chips and guacamole to start and then had emmoladas and pescado en mole habanero asentrees. Definitely the best moles I've had in the bay area, although in fairness, I haven't tried that many. Portion sizesare a bit above average I'd say, but nothing overly generous. The beer menu was extensive and very local, which I appreciated. We had a couple delicious ones, which were served cold and fresh. The outdoor patio is a fantastic atmosphere, despite beingright along the road or parking lot. It's sheltered and distanced enough that we didn't feel like we were sitting next totraffic. And the tables were well-spaced so we felt a comfortable distance from anyone else. All the staff were wearing theirmasks properly and service was prompt. Read more
Los Moles Beer Garden is a hidden gem I stumbled across several years ago. The food is outstanding and the drinks are even... better. We stop by here most times we take a trip to the Bay Area from Sacramento as it’s not far off of the freeway, quickservice and reasonably priced. They used to have a taco bar that was great but I’m assuming with covid that is no longer. TheCucumber Michelada is truly a work of art!! We liked the drinks so much we may have got one or two for the road! Read more
This was my first time at Los Moles but I already can't wait to come back! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, and delicious... authentic Mexican food. I had a Cadillac margarita with Pueblo Viejo Tequila (which I thought could only be found in Mexico)which was absolutely delicious. The chicken quesadilla appetizer was lightly fried which gave it a soft airy crisp when you bitinto it. My wife loved the quesadilla! I had the chile rellenos stuffed with shrimp which was spicier than expected but I lovespicy so I didn't mind. My wife had the Carnitas plate which was also delicious. Most definitely coming back on one of theirbuffet nights to try out all the moles they have to offer. This establishment made me feel like I was back in Mexico which warmsmy heart. I can't wait to go back and see what all they have to offer, not to mention the long list of Mezcal they have. Read more
It was an ok experience for vegetarian options. The mole poblano was not good. It had an after taste. The casserole was nice.... The place itself has a good vibe and service was good! Overall not so great for vegetarian options! Read more
