Wonderful food and ambiance! We are return customers traveling through. A must stop for a heavenly dining experience. Try the... squash soup (probably seasonal) for an incredible medley of flavor. If there was absolutely more stars I would give the Firefly grill ( Definitely more) it's a must see, the ambiance is perfect... all around! feels so welcoming & peaceful, plus all the employees love working there!! Meals are picture perfect all largeportions!!! Read more
Very nice set up for this small town restaurant! The food was good overall. The only issue I had was the duck dish was a little... undercooked and wasn’t as tasty as everything else served. The service was really good and overall experience was verycomfortable. Read more
The NYE taste testing is so much fun at the Firefly in Effingham. This was our second year attending it. They didn't have it... last year due to Covid. You can choose to either pair your courses with wine or not. We tried all of the courses without thewine pairing. It was fun to try foods that you might not normally ever eat. Some courses we really liked and some were anadventure to try. It was fun though. We were very full when we got done with all of our courses. I think we spent about threehours there. Firefly Grill is absolutely amazing! We couldn’t decide on what to order so we ordered everything that sounded good and were... not disappointed. The flavors were so wonderful and crisp! The atmosphere was comfortable and refreshing. The staff werehelpful and brought out our dishes in stages so we could enjoy them all. I am already planning on bringing family and friends. This is a 2 hour drive from my home but well worth it! Read more
If I had to explain Firefly to someone in one word it would be: WOW. My finance and I ate here for the first time a few months... ago. It was definitely a treat because the prices are expensive. We were able to splurge because we had a gift card, thankfully.We walked away more than satisfied because the food and drinks were absolutely delicious. You could definitely tell that thefood is all fresh and cooked with care. This is one of the most fancy places in the area, so expect to pay a pretty penny buthave a fantastic meal. Read more
