Reviews for TOWNE CHEF Indian Fusion in Edmonton, AB
Nice little spot cozied in Terwilliger Towne. The food is pretty good however you need to pay for rice seperately, which is a... huge downside. When you pay 15 dollars for a dish, I would expect rice to come with it. Not just the meat, sauce, and naan breadand then pay another 5 dollars for a small container of white rice. That is only complaint I have and why I rated this place 3stars out of 5. Otherwise the portions are generous and the food is really good. I've only tried the mango chicken and thekhadaid chicken and both were excellent. I can't speak on the rest of the menu. Read more
I had previously given this place a 5 star rating, they used to have great deals but they changed them so now they definitely... aren't worth the price. The worst part is they offer deals that include curry and no rice, which to me is utterly insane. Itwould be like running a Burger joint and selling hamburger pattys and buns separately. This was one of the last indian cuisineplaces I could find that actually had fair prices but they got greedy apparently. Read more
This place is a hidden gem. Located in the heart of residential area at Terwillegar. This was my 3rd time from here and must say... have never been disappointed. Food is great with top level service and hospitality. They have large variety of Indian cuisine. One of thr things I loved is variety of Indian sweets. We got the assorted pack and they were all freshly made with no signscrumbs or granulation. They even have an East Indian Chaat booth on the weekends in the evening. I believe it's until stocklasts. We used to order from this place frequently but the last 2 orders have been very disappointing. I think they have really... cheapened up the product. Butter chicken now tastes like tomato soup and has the distinctive tomato soup red color, they arealso now only using chicken thighs and we only got 5 pieces of chicken (about 2 thighs worth) in our last order. They absolutelydo not follow spice requests. We ordered everything MILD and 2/3 dishes were so spicy we couldn't eat it. The veg Manchurianliterally looked as though they had taken a handful of red chili flakes and thrown it in. We used to love the naan there but nowit's like sliced bread thick. Samosas were terrible as the dough was raw inside. Just really disappointed overall twice now. Wereally love to support local businesses but with all the heavy competition out there in the Indian food category, we won't beback. Read more

Great neighbourhood kitchen. We had the family combo for pick up and all of them were very tasty with huge portions. Price was... good as well. We definitely got 3 or so meals out of it. I will definitely be ordering for pickup to support this local joint! Read more
Stopped by and picked up some veggie samosas. Very tasty. A neighborhood kitchen with mainly takeaway as very small interior.... Will be back to try other dishes. Read more
I went with my family and could smell of spices all over the place. The floor was all wet and the food got spilled on the floor... while taking the delivery. The immediate remark from the owner was to not worry, enjoy the meal and he would get the floorclean. Anyways, we were not expecting free food but that it was bit funny to hear a remark to enjoy the meal when the food wasalready on the floor. We ordered another dish too. The food was tasty but definitely not a place to dine in. Read more
