Fringe cafe is slightly overpriced compared to a tim hortons or a second cup, but its a decent choice when working for the... fringe theater. Read more

Had the grilled cheese sandwich & the curry lentil vegetable soup. These were both excellent & went together perfectly!\n\nThe... atmosphere was relaxing; Good for reading and chatting. Most of the music is from local artists, which is a nice touch.\n\nAndthe staff were all friendly and respectful.\n\nDefinitely recommend this place as a better option to the busier, noisier, moreexpensive options on Whyte Ave. Read more

A really comfortable environment to spend time and hang out. Power outlets, wifi, table space, and comfy chairs with easy access... to food and drink make this an excellent space to work or socialize. They even call themselves \"loiter positive\".\nI also likethat they have lots of cool in-space opportunities like by-the-hour rehearsal room rentals for $7 and the Coffee SuspensionProgram!\nSelection for food and drink is kind of niche and they don\'t always have everything on their menu in stock, but thereare some real gems and the atmosphere is great so if you are interested in trying somewhere new, I recommend giving it a shot. The staff was super nice and welcoming, but overall it was just ok because...\n1. Their hours are already the worst of the... coffeeshops on the Yeg Coffee Pass. They\'re moving from being open 4 afternoons a week to only once a week.\n2. The tea lattesuggested to me was supposed to taste similar to Earl Grey, but it wasn\'t fragrant at all. I\'d compare it to be closer toOrange Pekoe which I\'m not a fan of as it\'s the last resort for teas.\n3. I had hair in my grilled cheese sandwich (photoincluded and it\'s definitely not my hair).\n4. The order took a long time. I was the only customer and ordered two items. To beefficient, make the grilled cheese first, and while it\'s grilling, there\'s time to make the drink. Instead my drink was madein completion, then the sandwich. Maybe because they were not busy, they had to prep everything fresh as I ordered it.Appreciated for sure that that much work was put into it, but it certainly wouldn\'t be profitable, despite being a $9 grilledcheese sandwich. Super reasonable prices and friendly people. Kale salad is delicious (love the dressing!). I love the snack box because it\'s... like charcuterie for lunch and the vegan cheese is SO GOOD (I am not vegan...it is THAT tasty!) I love the chill vibes - you canorder a coffee and hang out all day on your lap top and it\'s all good. Read more
