Wow. When I was in Edmonton, someone suggested this place for South Indian food. And I have to say this is perhaps one of the... best South Indian food I have had in Canada. Very pocket friendly, great quantity and quality. The filter coffee and Kesariwere amazing as well. We ordered Podi Masal and Paneer Masala Dosa. Atmosphere was ok. Visited on a Friday during lunch hour and it was quite busy. We got mysore masala, egg-kuttu parantha and filter coffee. Dosa... and paratha tasted nice, coffee had some weird smell (maybe of the metal?) not sure but I couldn't drink. Service was littleslow as only 1 person was serving all the tables. Awesome authentic south Indian/ Tamil food. We had the prawn, Andhra chicken and chicken 65 biryani, with some filter coffee and... rasam. All of them were amazing! Best food in Edmonton. Would definitely come here again. Highly recommend! Read more
Ambience is alright, it is a small place. Service was good, food arrived fairly quick. I ordered masala dosa, it was really... good. It came with three types of chutneys all yummy and a bowl of sambar which was delicious. Hubby ordered beef curry andrice, was pretty satisfied as well. Great place to go when you are craving dosa or South Indian food. Really good portions and flavors. The staff is nice and... attentive. Kids love the size of the dosa! Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good dosa place. Read more

I normally never write reviews but being a chennaite it?s almost... impossible to find quality food with perfect spice levels and flavors! I?ve tried almost all south Indian restaurants inVancouver, Toronto, and Alberta but nothing was even remotely as good as Suvai Dosa! We loved it so much the first time - weended up coming back again the same week! Not one item that we ordered was mediocre. Giving this restaurant 2.5 stars. The service was the only bright spot, the decor looked outdated and dingy. We ordered Mysore... masala dosa, Onion rava masala dosa, and filter coffee. The dosas along with the sambar and chutneys tasted very bland. Filtercoffee tasted good. Read more
