I get a bit of anxiety going into Starbucks but I really wanted to try the new cold brew drink and I know starbucks has many... lactose free dairy options. I asked for the pumpkin cold brew but lactose free. I was told no problem. I waited about 6 minuteswhen they called out an order under my boyfriends name. I ordered but paid with my boyfriends card so I assume they got the namefrom that. I was told they didn't understand my order since this drink couldn't be made lactose free. I had already been waitingfor far too long at this point and just wanted to leave so I asked them to make it however they usually do. The girl workingpoured the cold brew, added ice and then placed the drink on the back counter and went to do something else. I waited another 3or 4 minutes and then asked someone else to please finish making my drink. I was really upset and by this point feelingextremely anxious so I took the drink and left. I then called to speak to a manager who was quite rude and told me it'simpossible to make that drink lactose free and he couldn't do anything about my issues unless I come in. Well feeling alreadyanxious, upset and having wasted $7 on a beverage, I told him I didn't want to come back but I thought he should know that hisstaff shouldn't start a drink and then just leave and go to the back. They had been making other drinks for people who weren'teven in there. At that time I was the only person in line. I am also frustrated because I was charged extra for the lactose freemilk but they weren't able to use it. I gave two stars because the girl who took my order was new and unaware and when I gothome, I took pills so that I could still drink the cold brew and it was quite tasty. It's too bad the manager on duty and thewoman making my drink had to be so rude and incompetent. Read more
