Reviews for Shumka Ukrainian Foods in Edmonton, AB
oh, so good!! It's always ready when you walk in and you can buy premade, frozen to cook at home also. Just love it here
Grabbed perogies and cabbage roils to go. Prices weren't bad, but the food was BLAND! Not bad persay, because I'm not sure... food can taste bad if it has no flavor. But it was certainly disappointing. I don't think I'll be back, given the otheroptions in the food court. Read more
Husband and I were thrilled to find Ukrainian food in a food court, something you never see in Calgary!! Most Ukrainian spots... seem to close early so we figured we?d give it a shot and weren?t disappointed. Good, simple comfort food at its finest, we hadthe meatballs, cabbage rolls, kielbasa and perogies. We loved the sauerkraut and the dill flavoured ones!! Read more
Pretty good Ukrainian food. Best you can find that isn't homemade. Pricing is a little high but expected.
The food is unreal unsurpassed in my opinion I ordered a keilbassa in a bun it was delicious, the perogies were perfectly cooked... with such a perfect balance. The sauerkraut soup was great, nice and sour with a briny undertone. Sauerkraut was more cabbagetexture than store bought sauerkraut definately the real deal definately the best I?ve ever had and I?ve been to the Ukraine,Russia and Georgia, as well as Germany. The borscht is very sumptuous with that perfectly earthy flavour of beets this is now mygo to and as a foodie I suggest you check it out too. I also have to call moment on the staff I had issues with skip the dishesthey delivered my original order at the wrong address. Was unable to contact skip and they did it for me ! I have never ever hadsuch an amazing customer service experience like this they went above and beyond one of the sweetheart ladies even offered todrive my order to me after she finished my work amazing !!l Read more
Great Ukrainian food The posted food board is a bit confusing. The server was very helpful as I only wanted a small plate of... pierogies and a small bowl of beet borscht. Cost 9.19 but tasted great. Knocked a star down only because the meal board wasconfusing. Read more
This place has such good Ukrainian food. I went back for seconds lol. I will be back for sure!
This place was the epitome of robbery. The cashier woman did a poor job at explaining how their menu worked, what items costed... extra, etc. I ended up paying a steep price for a meal I didn't know would cost that much due to the "extra cost" of certainitems. Plus, their fried chicken tasted like it had been sitting there for days. Dry and stale. Last time I'm supporting theUKRAINE. ???? Read more
