I just wanted to say that I have ordered from several Vietnamese restaurants in the neighborhood, and never felt compelled to... write a scathing review like this. To be clear I ordered from them twice before posting this review (I wanted to see if therewas a trend). The first time ordering, they messed up the order. The second time ordering, the food was ice-cold at the quotedtime of pickup,. They shorted me a dish, increased the total price by 25% more than was quoted over the phone, omitted therequested shrimp topping in the vermicelli bowl, charged extra for Tofu (which other Vietnamese restaurants will count as asubstitution if you forgo the beef), and finally were quite rude and didn't seem to care that they messed up when I arrived topick up my order. The worst experience ever had. The guy with curly hairs don?t have any manners he doesn?t even know how to talk properly. He?s... so rude. Don?t know how unprofessional staff they guys have literally the worst place to go for Vietnamese food. Still if yourserver is busy or your kitchen is busy it doesn?t mean you have to forget how to talk to others. I also work at Harvey?s wenever do that. It?s not about how busy the restaurant is. I ordered from here off skip the dishes tonight for my girlfriends birthday, she's pregnant and was really craving some pho. So... we ordered 2 beef and brisket bowls and some green onion cakes. Well our order did show up pretty fast unfortunately the food isless than desirable. The green onion cakes are warm but rock hard and the broth for our soups are tasteless and bland. We weresent sauces as well and the containers were a quarter full if even that. I'm not a man who likes to write reviews but this wassupposed to be a birthday treat for my pregnant girlfriend. Food is ok. But they?re too busy and pre occupied with skip/door dash orders to give any attention to those who choose to dine... in. Received little to no service. Also witnessed what I can only assume is the owner park his jaguar in the handicapped spotout front without a tag or a care in the world. Won?t be back on that principle alone. Also the website still sucks. Stilldoesn?t have a menu and forces you to the skip the dishes page. See review from 6 months ago where they said they?d fix it. Read more
I thought I would give this place a try after going to other places in the area. The overall experience was less than... satisfactory. The server only came twice - once to give me water and take my order and the second time to bring the food. I hadthe Boss Pho. In terms of the food: the meatball was good and a bit peppery, the steak was okay, the brisket was too chewy,chicken was too dry, noodles were okay and the soup was bland (I ate more than half the bowl of food with sauces). Phenomenal food and great service! I've tried both their Leduc and Riverbend locations and they're consistently on point!
I can't comment on any dish other than their Satay soup with beef. Oh, it's so good you guys!
