Good place for platter. The cashier was good in recommending me a good beverage: barbican. The flavour I recommend is... Pomegranate over strawberry. It was refreshing drink that I would buy another one. The platter I ordered is lamb platter withmedium spice level. I like spicy food and I would order this dish again as there was the perfect amount of spiciness. The saucesworks well with the perfect cooked rice and caramelized lamb. The platter comes with salad. I decide to get fattousha salad.Its not bad salad as the house dressing was good but some lettuce pieces have some signs of rust. Dessert was baklava. Thephyllo dough was very crispy and syrup is not too sweet. But the baklava is missing something and I cannot put my finger on it.Might be mixed nuts not pronounce. I may try highest level of spice one day. UPDATE REVIEW (July 30, 2022): Chicken shawarmaon rice was really good. Beef on rice was the weakest one. So far lamb and chicken on rice are the best. The new Riverbend location is amazing! Ive been eating family owned Osmows since 2009 growing up in Brampton, Ontario.... Constantly would talk about how i cant wait to go back and visit just so i could order a chicken on the rocks! Now i can getthis just down the street from my house! Perfect amount of sauce and heat. I usually keep the fast food brand outlets to three stars at max. But I was pleasantly surprised by this new shawarma... establishment arriving in Edmonton's Riverbend. First off, the place is spotless clean. The brand is well placed and seating isplentiful. I ordered the shawarma platter as a Philly and it was great. Meat on rice with sauce and spices. Pick your heatlevel. A few options for salads as a side. You can also get the food on veggies, on fries or on a wrap. It was filling anddelicious. No complaints at all. The girl at the till was extremely helpful. The only thing I noted maybe as a negative was thatthe gentleman working the grill seemed less than enthusiastic to be working there. As he transported the chicken to thestorage, he dropped a number of pieces on the floor and didn't really seem to care. But at the end of the day, I'll score thisa four star. Really enjoyed the Chicken shawarma wrap and the Philly cheese steak wrap as well. A good size for lunch, and if you make the... combo with fries, which also were very good, a decent meal. I?ve been to this location a few times, and have not been disappointed yet. The shawarma poutine is where it?s at, and it?s... always consistent and tasty. If you get the shawarma wrap, get the saj bread - it makes a world of difference in texture andtaste. Falafel is also great (unexpectedly so) and it does not crumble as you bite into it. Read more
