Delicious! Quality of food was worth every penny. It didn?t taste watered down like most Indian places I have tried. Service was... great. It was nice seeing the owner helping the staff and checking on the satisfaction of the customers. The price of the foodmatched the quality. In town on business and stayed at the attached hotel. I arrived at lunch hungry from the 4hr flight. The menu was not your... typical Vindaloo or aloo gobi you see elsewhere. The menu is broken into Shareables, Tandoor Se and Mains. I opted for theMonsoon Biryani and it was delicious. The curried basmati rice was fragrant and fluffy and the chicken pieces were moist andfork tender. The flavor was incredible and I had to restrain myself from eating with just one fork! Flash forward a few hoursand i am back at the hotel. Although i had the biryani for lunch i thought it would be great to try something off the Shareablemenu for dinner. Again. Out of this world. I ordered the Dahi Kabab- tasty croquettes with melt in your mouth masala paneerinside and the Amritsari Machhi - nice sized shareable pieces of hand battered cod. The fish was nicely spiced as was theaccompanying two sauces for dipping. I am not sure what the sauces were ( i did take-out) - one was sweet and the other had alovely cilantro taste to it. Excellent. I must admit, both meals were a treat. I am looking forward to going back.Tomorrow! If you find yourself in Edmonton, don?t pass this place by. Your taste buds will thank you. Read more
We tried the below items : > Smoked Butter Chicken > Tawa Hara Paneer > Monsoon Kulfi Falooda Milkshake > Stuffed Paneer Naan >... Garlic Naan Butter chicken was okayish, the chicken was a lil chewy and was lil dry from inside. Tawa hara paneer was deliciousbut a lil oily. Falooda was good. Naans were well done and flavourful too. Place is neat and well done. Service was goodtoo. So it?s a 3/5 considering Prices are a lil high considering the portion size. Read more
The reason to visit Monsoon Bistro and Bar was to try a newly opened Indian restaurant for our anniversary...all was good...the... decor...location...staff...service, were all good...the food was fresh and presented well but it missed the flavour...found ittoo bland for our taste...I believe if they can up the flavour on their dishes...the restaurant will do well Read more
Perfect combination of good food & hospitality. The have many veg+non-veg options including hundreds of different drinks. I have... never tested softer nun before in any Indian restaurants in Edmonton .The food portion is perfect. The taste is way differentfrom other restaurants. They don?t just put excessive amount of onion or tomato paste on their curry that?s what I liked themost.. The servers are really friendly and they will help you to find the best option for you. Wow! We had a fantastic dinner here and can't say enough about how good it was. Very nice ambiance and decor. Very welcoming and... friendly staff. The cocktails were really well made. My boyfriend got an old fashioned and it came out covered in a glass caseand when lifted, the smoke poured out so it was a really cool experience. We had fritters, papadum, smoked butter chicken, acurried beef with garlic naan and rice. The flavours and portions were incredible and they even brought out a nice birthdaydessert with a sparkler for him! Very thoughtful, thank you! We each had 2 cocktails as well and only spent $130 so we were veryimpressed. Also surprised to find it located in a Holiday Inn! Highly recommend if you love Indian food! Read more
