For the cost of their ice cream (which I was aware of prior to going) the quality should be a lot better; Maybe something has... changed through out the years because when I went to their West End location years ago it wasn't this bad. The ice cream tastedworse than buying a bucket of no name ice cream, and melted so fast it was dripping down the cone before getting to the car. Ialso asked for a strawberry on my sundae but after getting to the car and removing the whipping cream from the top I found acherry with an added extra topping of freshy placed 'hair'. Not impressed, and I found it odd that they're asking for tips oncheckout... You're already charging a lot for your products and the staff are literary scooping ice cream and asking whattoppings you want, this isn't an up scale restaurant where you're tipping the cooks and service workers who are busting theirrears to give you a great experience. *For people with allergies* Super good ice cream, but they don?t wash the spoons before reusing and throw them all into the same... container every time. I asked them to clean the spoon because I have a nut allergy and the lady just went and rinsed it offuntil another coworker told her to actually clean it. Read more
Marble Slab has been going down hill a lot in recent months. They have upped their cost, lowered the weight of ice-cream you... get, and in just the past couple of days (I got Marble Slab on Monday as well) they have made it so you can only get 2 flavorsof ice-cream instead of 3 with the large, at least at this location. Extremely high prices make Marble Slab a place worth going to about once or twice a year for quality ice cream.
I wish I could give negative stars.. worst customer service I have ever seen. I came at around 8:30pm at this location. After... looking for a bit decided to eat the raspberry cheese cake. I wasn?t told that it wasn?t a cheese cake but an ice creamflavoured cheese cake so even before eating i told the employees that it wasn?t the cheese cake and I wanted a cheese cake. Andall I was getting was it is an ice cream based cake well if I wanted an ice cream I would?ve just ordered an ice cream not anice cream cheese cake so they refused to exchange me to something else or refund it rather forced me to eat it saying it?s ourpolicy. One of the employees was even being rude and said no she won?t take it back. Finally the other employee who showed somecourtesy tried to talk to the manager who ended up not replacing or refunding my money back. I am a manager in a company too andhave never seen this attitude and behaviour anywhere.. firstly it was mislabeled as cheese cake. Plus I was being forced to eatsomething I didn want. Where is customer satisfaction nowadays??? If something is labeled wrong they need to tell theircustomers what it is. I?m never coming back here again and would also suggest people to do the same.
