Maybe a nice place to stay for beer. But for breakfast, the place is on basement, dark and very basic. Food seems ok but why are... we paying so much for a basic sandwich ! Anyway à lot of better coffee shop around. And don't go study there, they will sendyou to the library (check an other comment!) Read more

Cozy atmosphere, but my coffee and breakfast sandwich were unexceptional. The sandwich lacked flavor abd would be improved if... the muffin was buttered (came dry, but fresh). Coffee was fine, but the music is quite loud so it's not the best space to workor study. Read more

I?m a frequent guest at Red Star but this was my first time coming to Lock Stock in the morning for coffee. I was reminded why... this is the best shop in all of Edmonton! The coffee was exceptional, staff are amazing, and the vibe in here is incredible allthe time! Read more

Came in for lunch today. Entered through the wrong doors and sat down and was ignored which was probably my fault. I got up... after a few mins and found the front counter. I ordered and my bagel and coffee and was served the food very promptly! Mocha wasprobably one of the best I have had in a very long time. Bagel was pretty tasty as well! I liked how chill it was there and Iliked the music. Will most definitely pop in again sometime :) Read more

Got two Drinks and two sandwiches to go. My iced London fog was perfect! The egg sandwiches were good but I prefer a bigger... English muffin. Loved it though and the pub style vibes were excellent. Read more

Location: I?m not going to lie, it?s a bit of a dungeon. Sure, plenty of daylight filters down from street level, but you?re... always going to feel like you?re underground. Setting: It?s a dark-stained wood-paneled pub with church pews. Prettyconsistent with the whole dungeon vibe. Service: Both our host and server were delightful and cheery ? which did a lot tolighten the mood. Drink: I ordered a chai latte which was artfully crafted by someone who obviously takes pride in their work. It was less sweet than a traditional chai which made it better for me, no doubt, but honestly less tasty. Food: I had the baconand egg English muffin and it was fantastic! Once again, this was obviously made by someone who cares. My only complaint wasthe choice to add arugula. Now this was my fault since I didn?t read the menu description carefully, but I do wonder how thereare so many people who enjoy this bitter-tasting herb. I may not be in the majority here, but never in my life have I thoughtany dish could be improved if it only tasted more like poison. Read more

I have only been here in the mornings a few times, so I only had the chance to try out a few of their breakfast sandwiches and... coffee. While simple in presentation, you can really taste the flavour of all the ingredients. For instance, the subtlesweetness of the house-made tomato jam stands out with the savoury taste of the meat. Americano is pretty much what you wouldexpect as well. Service is also pretty quick, and the workers are friendly. I?ll definitely be back to try out some more, especially some of their fresh baked goods. Also worth mentioning it?s quite interesting to visit the place during the day whencomparing it to the bar atmosphere of Red Star during pre-pandemic nights. When restrictions aren?t in place, it can be a nicegetaway for productivity settling in one of the booths. Read more
