Reviews for Liberian Cuisine On Wheels in Edmonton, AB
I have not dined in at the new location, but did order from and had it delivered. Any time I go here or order from, the food... just gets better & better everytime. Absolutely heaven! My boy who is 3, loves the cassava leaf w/ rice (if I let him he couldprobably eat a whole medium size to himself in one sitting ????) My fiancé also enjoys the cassava leaf. My absolute favouriteis pepper soup w/ fufu. I haven’t tried everything off the menu yet, but we do plan on it. If any of you are reading thisreview and love Liberian food… always get the large size, it only make sense ???? Would add our food photo but it’s alreadybeen demolished. Waiting on you to open up a Southside location ???? until then thank you for driving out, even in thisweather. ???????? Read more
I liked the food here in the past until today. I ordered my regular” jollof rice with Fish” through Uber. When I open my... order realized it was wrong order. So I called this establishment and spoke to their lead. He Acknowledged his mistake andstarted yelling at his staff while on the phone with him. After he finished yelling at them he asked me what he could do so hecan make up for his mistake. I told him I don’t like the food I received and I wanted the proper order. He said he can’tdeliver so I said I’ll come and pick it up. When I arrived at this establishment, I gave back the wrong order to one of thestaff, then the lead spoke asking me if I am good. I said I came here for my food. It was then when the lead exchanged wordswith me to which he suggested I should leave and call Uber for my refund. I stood my ground and got my order but when I wasabout to leave. The lead asked me condescendingly if I was “Jew”. I asked him why and he point out the fact the he saw mewearing my kippah. He and his buddies laugh at me while I walked out saying “we are all Jews” I ordered from thisestablishment multiple times and today was the day I went in person. Knowing what I know now about the culture in thisestablishment, I recommend no one give their time or energy to this establishment. This culture breeds hate and hostilitytowards Jews. This establishment has no need for existence and I encourage everyone to think twice before they decide to orderfrom here. The most dangerous type of Anti-semetism is bred here. Read more
Don't come here except you intend to wait for over 50 minutes to get one plate of food. I sat in the car with my baby while my... husband went in to place an order. It took over 50 minutes for them to fry fish. I could not call ahead of time as their numberdidn't connect all evening. Except you intend to wait for an hour don't come here for take out. Read more
Honestly the best food I have had in a while .Perfect mix of spicy and delicious.Loved it .Definitely coming back soon
Had a job on the north part of the city so we drove by this place for a few days before finally stopping by to check it out. I... like trying different types of food and so far every African dish I've tried I've enjoyed (the ones I've tried at HeritageFestival every year). Tried 2 dishes, the jollof rice and plantain with chicken which was delicious and a generous portion andthe 2nd was the peanut soup, I was curious about this one and it was quite spicy which I didn't know it'd be lol I'll definitelytry a few more of their dishes. Really good food. Love the spicy flavors. Owner is really nice. Food is slightly expensive but I’ll honestly go back because... the food was so delicious. I highly recommend getting jollof with fried plantain and chicken. Read more
Food was very tasty! Peanut butter soup was crazy spicy. The food was more like a mix of Jamaica and curry dish. It was a... bit pricy but very good. Read more
Unfortunately, some of the other reviews are correct. I ordered jollof rice with fried chicken, fried rice with jerk chicken,... suya, and meatpies. What was delivered was: jollof rice with fried fish, fried rice with fried chicken, suya, and no meatpies.Somewhat appropriate quantities for “large” option (essentially just more rice), and the price point is high for the qualityof the food considering it’s mostly spice (heat) and not enough flavor. This was my first time trying this restaurant, so abit disappointed - maybe it’s better in person. Read more
