Recently visited Haus Falkenstein for a birthday celebration and greatly enjoyed my experience. An incredible variety of... schnitzel on the menu that is fresh cut and prepared that day. The restaurant recommends that you call ahead and makereservations to ensure that they have enough fresh meat available, which we did in advance. Otherwise, I really appreciated theowner's perspective on why they make their schnitzel the way they do (pan fried, not deep fried) and the use of canned mushroomsand processed cheese (which I loved!). Also, for soccer/football fans, there's also a great FC Schalke 04 corner in therestaurant, which I'm guessing you won't see very often. Well worth the visit if you're looking for authentic schnitzel inEdmonton! Read more

Really good German restaurant that specialize in schnitzel. They have an enormous selection of schnitzels (according to their... website 347 variety of pan fried schnitzel - Guiness World Record). Appetizers are "2 Bavarian Weisswürste," the sausages wasdelicious. The sausages has the perfect snap even though it is boiled. Sauerkraut is good as it is not too sour. And theBavarian sweet mustard enhances the sausage as the mustard is not very sweet. The schnitzels are very good because it isperfectly breaded and the sauce works. I ordered Wild Jägerschnitzel with red wine. Jägerschnitzel is a mushroom sauce thus mydish included mix mushrooms with splash of red wine. Sides were Cesar salad and potatoes croquettes. The schnitzel is tender andyou get 2 pieces of schnitzel. The sauce is creamy but not so creamy that you feel nauseous and perfect amount of seasoning.Lastly the potatoe croquettes was really good as it was deep fried and the insides was creamy. The Falkenstein schnitzel is goodbecause the chanterelle sauce was creamy. If you decide to go to this restaurant I highly recommend making a reservation sothat the chefs can portion out food on who is coming. Schnitzels are cook to order. I would come back to try the otherschnitzels and other sausages. Read more

Awesome! Amazing food, the schnitzel is awesome. Has a classy mom and pop feel with great staff and great decoration. Great... German  beer as well! Try it out you will fall in love. The odd restaurant that sell "schnitzel" is nothing compare to thequality schnitzel here. So fresh! Portions are good too. Call ahead if you can, helps them keep it fresh. You can tell theycare about the detail and quality. The wife and myself have come numerous times and the food is always perfect. A true gem inEdmonton, try it out you will enjoy! Read more

We had a wild mushroom schnitzel and a mushroom onion and cheese schnitzel. They were fantastic. Portions were big. They come... with fries or potatoes croquettes (both are very nice) and a side salad. Service was good. Reservations are required as theyprepare the schnitzel fresh every day. Give them a try, you will be happy Read more

Wonderful food . Zigeuner schnitzel is my favorite from the time we lived in Germany Jager schnitzel is my husbands dish.... Unfortunately we don't have a German Restaurant in Calgary so when we visit Edmonton we always have a visit to this restaurant. There is a German restaurant in Bragg creek but they don't make Zigeuner schnitzel. Staff are very accommodating and you feelvery welcome. Love the decor. Read more
