Margherita pizza is my favorite from their menu. Today I got to try their Tomatoe Bisque and Bruchetta as well. Bisque was rich... and flavorful. Bruschetta bread was soft anf moist with what apppeared to be a balsamic vinegrette tomatoe and onion toppings.If you want to try Tiramisu pair with their regular coffee and it is combination you will not regret. I used to come here very often up until the pandemic, and in that time, something definitely changed with this place. I’ve... ordered Famoso through Skip (from this location) twice in the last few months and was disappointed both times. I thought maybethe pizza would be better in person, so I finally made my way to the restaurant tonight. The pizza we ordered was completelyinedible — comparable to 3AM gas station pizza. Not even close to what Famoso used to be. On top of that, the restaurant wascompletely dead (there were only 4 of us and the restaurant was empty for most of our 2 hour meal), and the waiter told us halfway through that he was leaving the restaurant for a few minutes but he would be back (???). Such a weird vibe andexperience. When the time finally came for our bills, they were completely mixed up and had to be fixed, but were still wrong inthe end. I am so disappointed with the service we received, and honestly sick to my stomach because of the two slices of $17pizza I ate. Such a weird experience. It was like people who never ran a restaurant before were given the keys to Famoso for onenight. Sad that I won’t be returning to my longtime favourite restaurant. Read more
We were craving Famoso so stopped in at South Common to grab a late lunch. We managed to catch happy hour from 2pm-5pm. We... ordered the 12 inch all meat pizza, happy hour meatball pasta and the Pizzatta Meal - cheese pepperoni pizza and it came withtomato bisque soup and San Pellegrino drink. Ordered take out via Skip - the most disgusting pizza ive ever received. This location was great in the past but my most recent... order is inedible. We ordered from another location after receiving the first order in Edmonton and look at the difference -the terrible looking one is the south common location. Go to any other Famoso if you want a good meal - avoid this location. Read more
My experience has been pretty good from this location, servers are friendly and food is pretty good, for this visit I got their... plant-based pepperoni pizza which was pretty good but should've been in the oven for little longer as it didn't look well donebut despite that it tasted pretty good, little on the chewy side but overall it was pretty good. Terrible. If I could give less than 1 star I would. - the restaurant is dirty. Booths ripped, lights burnt out, lights bunt out... in the kitchen so the staff work in darkness, ledges and fixtures dusty and bathrooms are filthy. - ordered kids food about 10min earlier than adult meals so that they would come out faster. They did not. Adult meals came out first. - food wasTASTELESS. We have been to many famoso restaurants and this is by far the worst. I had the San Andreas and my husband the spicyThai both should have been quite flavourful which they were not. (Forgot to take pictures of the food) -only one server for theentire restaurant(she was trying her best) was swamped and did not come around much -kids got Gelato with thier kids meal itwas more like soup. Delicious !!! It was a perfect dinner party for us. Tried Ginger beer along with pizzas, it was robust but refreshing. Pizzas... were flavorful. And the service was really awesome. She was friendly, attentive and lovely. Read more
Decent service and not horrible but will likely not return as this place is not the same as I remember. Used to frequent famoso... often but it looks like management has changed for this location and the quality has drastically changed as well. Pizza was thinand soggy and not what I expected from Famoso based on previous experiences. Read more
