Reviews for El Mero Mero Taqueria in Edmonton, AB
Such a hidden gem!\nFast service and amazing food selection. Specialty drink menu with mostly tequila options. 7 tables inside... and 5 seats at the bar and a few picnic tables outside. Most of the seats inside are stools except the chairs at the bar. Lovethat they support a non profit each month (this month is Autism Edmonton) and they have a wall of local crafts and goods thatyou can buy from as well! Read more
Me and my wife decided to try El Mero Mero after hearing good things about their food truck. And I\'m so glad we did. We had the... tortilla chips and guacamole and the homemade tortilla chips and guacamole were amazing. They also have a HUGE selection oftacos. I couldn\'t decide what to get so I had to order two. I went with the slow cooked beef and the fish tacos. The beef wasso flavorful and the beef juice for dipping was the perfect touch. The fish tacos were amazing. Some of the best I\'ve had forsure. My wife had the enchiladas and said she would get them again in a heart beat. They also support local entrepreneurs byselling their products in the restaurant. We will definitely be going back and searching out their food truck in the future! Read more
Had the PESCADO tacos and the GUACAMOLE Y TOTOPOS from the food truck at an event and I have to say they were outstanding. The... order had three tacos and the fish was fried perfectly. The Guac and chips were a generous portion. I will be making a trip tothe restaurant to check out the rest of the menu very soon.\nMade it to the restaurant and it did not disappoint. We startedwith Tortilla Soup. It was good although it wasn\'t very hot but then we weren\'t sure if it was supposed to be. Next up was theBirria - (3 tacos) Slow cooked beef that is sweet, sour, and slightly spicy, topped with melted mozzarella cheese, onion, andcilantro. Served on a corn tortilla and accompanied with beef broth for dipping. Not at all spicy for those who can\'t handleheat and very flavorful. Shrimp tacos (3) - Panko coconut breaded shrimp, topped with radish slaw and a pineapple serrano salsa.Served on a corn tortilla. A little spice but very tasty. The breading was slightly underdone but the shrimp was cookedperfectly. We shared the dessert of Pastel Tres Leches - Vanilla bean cake soaked in a mixture of 3 milks, filled with whippedcream and strawberries, and covered with Swiss meringue buttercream. This was so good! Very light and not too sweet and too goodto share! Overall the food was worth the trip, service was excellent and drinks delicious. We will be back! Read more

We love this place and have been a few times since the actual restaurant has opened up.\n\nGreat margaritas and bull dogs and... the food tastes great. Nice and salty (in all the right places) with some kick. And honestly, some of the best salsa I’ve everhad in my life!\n\nGreat merchandise and atmosphere in the restaurant, too, with extremely accommodating and friendlystaff.\n\nFood might be a bit pricier than expected, but you can tell a lot of heart goes into their product - so it’s worthit!\n\nCan’t wait to go back for more :) Read more
