They changed the teriyaki sauce. It is now bland and gelatinous. Will not eat again if this does not change.

Beware: cockroaches. Just being real here. This place made me avoid edo in general. My husband and I ate here a while back and... there was a dead cockroach inside the sauce of our noodles. We had already ate a quarter of it before we saw a cockroach bodysticking out. I wish I had taken a picture! (if I find it, I will update this review with the picture) I was so disgusted... Iwas gagging. When I bought the box back to them, they just took it, no questions... And they quietly gave me a refund whilecustomers were in line waiting for their food... One of my old coworkers also worked for the city centre guest services, shetold me that the mall had issues with coackroaches for a long time and it's no surprise that that happened to us. WTF? Anyways,I no longer eat anything inside the city centre food court......... Yeah so it looks like the quality of their food hasn'tchanged... I feel bad for posting such a negative review but there was a friggin gelatin sauce coated cockroach in my damnnoodles, sick to my stomach. Read more

Fresh, tasty food that is prepared right in front of you. I have enjoyed Edo for years and have never been disappointed. They... have lots of options now from bento box to soup to noodles and sushi also. There is something for everyone. I remember whenthere was only a few options but that has changed. This location is in the Edmonton City Centre Mall food court and is superbusy during lunch. The attraction for me has always been that they prepare it in front of you and you get your meal hot. I asked for extra sauce twice and still never gave extra sauce. The food always takes to long to make and the staff are not very... friendly nor welcoming. Portions are also very small compared to other Edo locations. Read more

Consistently horrible quality food. Compared to other Edo locations this one's food is sub-par by a large margin. Go to the... Southgate, South Common or Windermere locations instead if at all possible. The rice from this location was mushy and clumpedtogether. The shrimp were severely burnt to the point they tasted more like charcoal than seafood or teriyaki sauce. The tempurawas undercooked, the batter on the inside of the coating was of a vomit-inducing consistency, and on top of that THEY STILL TOOK5 MINUTES PAST WHEN MY FOOD WAS READY TO GET ME THE TEMPURA. This resulted in the rest of my meal being luke warm at best by thetime I was ready to eat. Finally, to top things off, a disappointingly low percentage of the employees were fluent in Englishand I had to recite my order at least 3 times for them to comprehend what I wanted. If you must eat at City Centre, go toliterally any other business than Edo. I'm honestly not sure how you can mess up recipes provided by a chain restaurant thisbadly. Read more
