I have to admit that I was hesitant to go with D and H catering due to some of the reviews. I called to get a price quote and... spoke with Holly. I did express my concerns to her and she put me at ease and explained that they were under new management. Icalled a few other caterers but D and H was the most reasonably priced. Thank you so much for making my wedding a success andhelping me pick a menu for the event Holly! Although everything was tasty the guests absolutely loved the meatballs in themushroom sauce. I look forward to using you in future events! Read more

Background: D and H Catering catered a meal for a wedding I attended. The meal was brunch and was to consist of a relatively... basic menu, including eggs, bacon, sausage, omelettes, and waffles, along with fruit and vegetable trays and other garnishes. The bride and groom paid for 85 plates. First, the good: Now for the bad: There were slightly fewer than 85 in attendance, approximately 10-15 of whom were children under the age of 10 who ate very little. Now, mediocre food is not enough to elicit anegative online review from me, but poor customer service and failure to even attempt to provide the agreed upon services are,and that is what I witnessed at this event. 16 people (at least) did not eat. ~20 people only had the option of an omelettebecause the caterer ran out of all other food options. Bacon, sausage, potatoes. They were short on nearly everything. Theybrought one tray of potatoes. One tray. For 85 people. Not a comically over-sized tray. Just a standard caterers’ tray. Evenif your food is sub-par, at the very least make sure you bring enough. As for the food quality, it was not great. It wasn’tawful, but really, how hard is brunch? One thing I will point out is that one of the menu items was waffles. At $25/plate forbreakfast I feel as though you could reasonably expect, at the very least, freshly made waffles. What they delivered was a boxof Eggos (or some generic equivalent). Nothing against Eggos, but if Cora’s served Eggo waffles straight out of the toasterthey would no longer be in business. I unfortunately can’t comment on the quality of the potatoes, bacon, or sausage because Iwas one of the 18 who only had the option of an omelette. An omelette that I waited nearly 30 minutes for because only oneperson was manning the omelette station, cooking 1 (sometimes 2) at a time. It should also be mentioned that we were served onpaper plates and cleared our own tables. The service provided at the wedding was objectively poor, but it was the Read more

We used this company for our wedding reception. The food actually tastes good. Don't get me wrong. That's why I'm giving this... review a 3. The power went out for 2 hours or less on my wedding day. So, instead of eating at 5:30pm we ate a little after 8pm.Not ideal, but not much that can be done. We ordered herb crusted tenderloin tips as one of our buffet items. We ended up withsomething else. Because we paid early, we were supposed to have an appetizer. There was no appetizer. The food was also severelycold. I ordered food for 80 people. I'm glad only about 65 came because there would not have been enough. We were offered a $300gift certificate as compensation. We asked for a $300 refund instead and have never heard back. I would prefer an answer of norather than being ignored. Honestly it's what prompted my review. Normally they were very communicative. Read more

D & H recently catered our corporate Christmas party. They were on-time, extremely efficient and the food was AWESOME. Moist... turkey, perfectly cooked beef and the rest of the meal just as good. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable about all the items. All in all we were very happy and will be using them in the following years to come. Read more

Further to Edward's post. When they were running late Deidre didn't contact anyone to let us know, she ignored calls from my... husband, wedding planner, etc but finally called and left the bride (me) a voicemail. They also did not provide the correctfoods as specified on our contract... Substituting cold pasta salad for quiche without letting us know. Somehow the fact thatDeidre believes her food was wonderful outweighs all of the other issues. We had a Sunday brunch and the food was of mixedreviews. Hot omelette was good but everything else was nothing to write home about. Nobody ate the scalloped potatoes bc theywere gross. They werent the cheesy kind one would expect they were something that tasted like chicken broth/herbs. Our weddingplanner said she has never seen a caterer fail to this epic proportion and said any reputable company would likely offer 50%back or full refund. We were only offered a free catered meal for the immediate family; of course we have no interest inbooking/eating with D&H ever again, even for free. Read more
