Chicken stays crispy after a car ride home. The spicy is very tolerable and the heat builds up gradually. Some of the drums are... HUGE, but I didn?t like the meat texture of the big ones. Kono fried chicken in Hmart next door is good. But I like Boom Boom Chicken more. The chicken is super crispy, even after 2... hours. Only complaint is the spiciness is not consistent. Sometime it can be burning hot!We ordered Donkatsu and there was a lotof pork chop, come with sesame sauce, rice and corn salad. Only complaint is the pork chop was a little bit dry. Today we drove from Staten Island to buy take out lunch. Upon arrival I was told there were no drumsticks. I then decided to buy... a chicken wing large order ($24.99) and two-2 CHICKEN BREASTS, as one person in my family doesn?t eat wings. I was charged $5.00for the chicken breasts. Once at home we took the breast out of the container, to my surprise, I paid five dollars for 2 piecesof breast, not for two breasts. Photo enclosed. I feel the girl in the front was not honest enough. I asked if they werebreasts and she said yes. SHE SHOULD HAVE told me there were pieces of chicken breast and not a full breast. Store is clean and wide open. Staff are friendly and very considerate. Simple menu increases quality of food. Lots of drink... choices. We ordered popcorn chicken and fried dumplings. The popcorn chicken is a little tough to chew but the crispiness andflavor of the spicy sauce is amazing. The fried pork dumplings are very crispy and delicious. My partner has been telling me about this place for years. We moved out if the area awhile ago but I finally got a chance to go.... I was impressed. The fry on the chicken is perfect, just better than any chain chicken restaurant out there. Then the half andhalf box (half sweet half spicy), I can't decide which I like better. It just has synergy. I visited before and after they had the kitchen fire that shut down the place for a while. It?s a good example of good Korean... Fried chicken. Not the best in the area but definitely scratches that Korean Chicken itch. Don?t buy the Tonkatsu. Pork wasway too tough. The pickled radish side was also weak. Come for the chicken. It?s not the most tender but has that nice crunchyou expect from Korean Fried chicken. Kono Chicken in the Hmart is a little more tender but Boom Boom taste is a little better. Seoul Fried Chicken tastes better but the crust is too flakey for my liking. I still think BBQ.Chicken is better from the onesin the area but Boom Boom scratches that itch. Read more
DELICIOUS wings and drumsticks box with two different sauces. Crunchy breading and moist chicken. Totally recommend.
