We stumbled upon this gem by accident. We were in the area and needed to kill time before picking up daughter at the airport. We... were supposed to meet up with some local friends for drinks at another restaurant but all they had were fancy apps and gourmetburgers with seating outside and I really wasn't up to it. So we figured we would drive around to see what we would stumbleupon. The plan was to go down nolana and pick something from there but I somehow missed it and ended up on Trenton. So we took aright on Trenton off of 2nd Street and made it to this plaza with several eateries in the area. After careful consideration wechose this location. Turned out to be a very nice establishment, very clean with good service. It was very chill but lively atthe same time. We started off with chips and salsa that was brought by our server then proceeded with an appetizer of doblealitas a la Parilla con salsa verde. We weren't sure what we were getting but took a chance. They were absolutely delicious andthe green salsa complimented them very well. We then moved on to the main course which was a parillada for two. That was beef &chicken fajita, beef mollejas, sausage peppers and onions. It came with flour tortillas rice and beans. It was absolutelydelicious. The only special request made was well done extra crispy for the mollejas. The order for two was very very wellserved hot and fresh. We we enjoyed our visit and the service. If we are in the area again we will definitely stop back Read more

Great atmosphere. We had no issues during our visit; the homemade chips and salsa were great! Our waiter gave us great service... which is refreshing, it's not something you get lately. My friend ordered the fish tacos and she loved them and the coleslaw andI got the birria tacos, they were good too. Not as greasy as other places. Overall, we had a great experience! Read more

Came to dine-in at this restaurant because it was highly recommended by my family. The food was great, however, not even half... way through my meal, I found a hair embedded in the eggs. I told the server and she took the plate away then the manger cameout. He ask me about the situation and when I explained it to him, he replied by saying, ?it happens everywhere and is to beexpected.? He offered me a discount on my meal and I accepted it. When it came time for the bill I saw that only $1.13 wasremoved from my $10 plate! Mind you I didn?t get to eat half of it. It felt like a joke honestly. Read more

The place inside/outside looks really good, the architect did a great job with the design. The huevos divorciados are pretty... good, for $9.99 you get 2 eggs, potatoes, refried beans and chicharrón prensado (this is better than pork rinds). The eggs wereperfectly cooked over medium, the salsas for the eggs was okay, the chicharrón prensado was good it had a good flavor to it,the refried beans were also just okay perhaps if they added lard to the beans they would taste better, the potatoes were hot butthey could have used more seasoning as they were okay. The servers are very friendly and attentive. Overall this place is areally good with good portions on the dishes, i would recommend this place for breakfast. Read more

Went to Senor Cactus for dinner after church with a good friend. The restaurant is located on Trenton just west of the... expressway. The restaurant has a laid back atmosphere and not your typical Tex-Mex decor. The menu carries a good selection offare with enough variety to choose from. There are steak and seafood entrees to include seafood cocktails. Chips and salsa areserved once seated, I enjoyed the freshness of both. We started with choriqueso, melted cheese with chorizo, served withtortillas. I kid you not, the cheese stretches A foot long when you scoop it out. We cleaned the skillet it came in. We bothordered the same meals because my friend really likes the enchiladas there. We ordered the mole enchiladas, these come filledwith chicken, smothered in a rich tasting sauce, and covered with queso fresco. Rice, beans, and salad come on the side. Therice was cooked perfectly and the beans were some of the best I've had. Alot of restaurants fail at these two basic items, so itwas nice to go to a place that nailed it. Lastly we had the bread pudding for dessert that comes topped with a scoop of vanillaice cream. The dessert was a bit thin compared to most bread pudding but everything about screamed delicious and was reallygood. Since the beans were so good I can't wait to go back and try thier panchos.
