Lots of charm, lovely, clean, quiet- what more could you want?! The staff are super women! Booking with Shannon was pleasant and... easy -and she made our late arrival quite “do-able.” The next morning we were warmly greeted by Amy and Angel in thetastefully decorated dining room. We then enjoyed a delicious and ample breakfast of asparagus frittatas, amazing grits, ryetoast, fresh fruit, moist and yummy lemon cake, cranberry juice and a very satisfying cup of freshly brewed coffee. Large spacious room with antique decor. Gorgeous. Couch, coffee table, and dinette in our room with large open area to move... about. Comfortable canopy bed. TV hidden away in the armoire. Large bathroom with plenty of room to get dressed. Robes providedfor use during your stay. Common areas in the building if you choose to use them - couch, chairs, table, kitchenette with smallfridge, coffee, and tea. Breakfast is included and oh what a breakfast it is! Coffee, juice, AND water. I had all three.Beautiful glass of fresh fruit and a pastry. Then your entrée (quiche/French toast/or waffle, bacon or sausage, potatoes sirgrits, AND toast. It was fabulous. Be sure to make reservations for dinner at least one night while there. It is not included inthe cost of lodging but you should eat there at least one evening. All staff were a pleasure to meet. They were kind andhelpful. During our 4 night stay we several friendly people. We hated to leave. Be sure to visit with staff and locals aboutplaces to visit. They even warn you what to watch out for. We were told to be back before dark because bears cross the highway.We didn’t listen and we saw a bear!!!! Oh! We stayed in the Pack House which also has a beautiful, wide covered front porchwith comfortable chairs to relax. There is a large lush front yard. The grass looked perfect. The Inn is walking distance fromhistoric downtown and the lighthouse. Once downtown, hop on the trolley tour. It’s worth the information they provide. I missyou Casey, Amy, Terrick, maintenance guy. On our way back home from vacation, we decided to look for a place for breakfast, other than fast food. Our GPS lead us to this... sweet little spot where they took us in and fed us delicious breakfast with all the trimmings! Even though we did not stay thenight there they were as courteous to us as if we had. The staff was very professional and extremely courteous to us! After ourmeal we were encouraged to look around to check the grounds out. It's amazing the history of this place and what they've donewith it! My wife and I will return there again but this time as guest staying overnight as opposed to hungry travelers lookingfor a nice place for breakfast. Read more
