Fun setting and comfortable atmosphere?feels like a cross between an English pub and a sports bar. Good food and drink... selection. The burger was so tasty and cooked to perfection?great fries! We went in to get out of the heat for a bit and the place was nice and cool and the beers were cold too. Jackie our bartender... was super nice and right on time. Our next visit will include lunch after watching all the wonderful looking food dishes comingout of the kitchen. Read more
I pop in and out of Edenton from time to time. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, was super excited when i saw this place. My... excitement turned into disappointment. Not only was the service terrible, but what I witnessed was..and I'm sad to say,profiling. I did not witness the bartender treat or talk to anyone else in the restaurant the way she did these two young men.Needless to say, I won't be back and hope that someone with quality customer service skills retrains the staff, Clearly theydon't know anything about providing quality customer service, DEI, Microagressions, and more. Nice little pub in Edenton NC. Good selection of beer on tap and a large selection of bottled beer. The food was great. They had... on the menu an Edenton Steak Sandwich saying the rolls came direct from Philadelphia. The description was that of a Phillycheese steak. Being from just outside Philadelphia I had to try it. I was not disappointed. It was actually better than somePhilly Sandwich shops make. Service was good and the establishment was clean. Im in town a few times per year working at the hospital and love great pizza. I asked a few of the staff where a good spot for... pizza was and they recommended Governors Pub. I was excited to see they had New York style thinner crust as this is my favoritestyle. I ordered a large 3 topping. Very disappointing , completely average , pretty much tasteless pizza. Very little toppings,maybe 15 pepperonis on the whole pizza. I also asked that the toppings and cheese be run out to the very edge of the pizza andthe lady on the phone laughed a bit but said she would relay the message. Took my in-laws here for lunch and we all enjoyed our food. The pub chips are made in house and have a nice crunch. The food... came out fast and hot. However, when we got a refill on our unsweetened tea the server gave us all sweet tea. She was nice aboutfix it. It was slow when we went, just missed the lunch rush. Server seemed a little distracted talking to someone at the barwhich took awhile to get the check but overall definitely worth it and the hour drive. Will be going back. Read more
