South Texas person here, really critical of mexican food... but this place was not good... My first time here was a year ago and... the owner was a total jerk. I was asking questions about the fajita and he told me that he's busy and if i didn't want to orderthen he'll just move onto the next table. First time eating here. The staff are AMAZING! They knew when to come to the table and were awesome conversationalists. Even... cracked a couple of jokes. The atmosphere was wonderful. And the food....AWESOME! They serve chips and salsa when you sit downand the salsa tastes so fresh. Brought back memories of my Aunt Carolines home made salsa! I was quite happy with this place. The food was better than i thought it would be for a cheesy little strip mall Mexican joint.... The breakfast menu looked really good. The best part was that the strip mall also has TWO dance studios. One is dancing forJesus and i presume the other is pagan. If you're lucky enough to get a window seat you'll be entertained by a full "west sidestory" dance off/knife fight. Those christian dancers are scrappy and they fight dirty! Read more

Been going here for 5+ years and loved it. Unable to visit for a year or so, but finally returned recently. Food is still good,... though previously large portions now seemed a bit smaller for the combo plate. Margaritas seemed less "authentic" also. (Pre-mixperhaps?) I am sorry to say I am not a fan any longer. this used to be a great place for tasty Mexican and top notch service. Not sure... what happened with the recent changes but quality of food, menu and service have all gotten worse. no offense intended to thestaff or owners. Read more
