This place used to be amazing. We went with a big group - so I thought maybe that?s why the food was bland and rushed. But I... ordered noodles and hibachi rice to go and they were no better. There?s literally nothing to them - no garlic, butter,seasoning. My veggies were raw. I was shocked actually. My fried rice was pretty much white rice. No onion, egg, garlic to speakof. The noodles has nothing on them. service and cooking was rushed - I didn?t even get the sushi we ordered. One word review:bland. And this place used to be amazing! Best sushi in the area! Great service , delicious options , reasonably priced . We have had hibachi and also sushi and it never... disappoints . Always fresh . It's BYOB . Don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall fool you . It has a very nice atmosphereonce inside . They also have a party room which we have used as well . Read more

Management staff very rude an unprofessional. Went in for takeout and was given the wrong order. My wife?s name is Jennie so... when they said ?there is no order under that name there is an order for Denny, they must have heard wrong? I thought it must beours I guess. When the bartender read it I heard things my wife ordered so I thought it was ours. We overpaid by more than 10dollars and had gotten the wrong food. My wife called and was very polite on the phone. They were rude and told us it was ourfault because I grabbed the wrong order and agreed to it when the bartender read it off. I even left a tip for takeout which Inormally don?t do because they were busy!! My wife drove back which took over a half hour, they gave her one order of foodbecause the second order of hibachi was correct and we were charged for a side of white rice we didn?t order management thentold my wife when she drove back we would not get reimbursed what we overpaid because ? it was our fault for grabbing the wrongorder? then told my wife ?you and your husband should get on the same page?. My wife is almost 8 months pregnant so I went infor her !!!!! We also ordered salads instead of soups and got soups anyways. Needless to say we will never go back!!Unbelievable! The good: prompt, friendly service. Delicious food! The warning: if you don't like avocado, your special sushi roll options are... limited. we ended up here after a movie because it was close and the reviews were great. We ordered a few different options, andour food came out quickly, and the prices were about the same as many other places, but the portions were quite large, which wasa plus! I noticed that there were very few Special Rolls that didn't have avocado, so we tried the few that didn't have it. Thatdid make ordering a bit easier, but it was a bit of a bummer. Overall though, I would definitely go here again next time I'm atMonmouth Mall! Read more
TLDR: Good food, great atmosphere. We ordered sushi and hibachi, both were very good! The sweet potato roll in particular was... very good. The smoked salmon roll was alright, nothing to brag about though (probably won't be ordering again). The spring rollswere excellent! The hibachi vegetable was good. It wasn't too salty which was nice, and the noodles and rice were both cookedwell. The cucumber roll was good, nothing special though. The place was very clean, but smelled slightly like chlorine?almostlike we were at an indoor pool or something. The atmosphere was very good; nice dim lighting and soft music made the experienceenjoyable. Overall, great Japanese place in the Shrewsbury area. I'd recommend coming here for dinner. Read more
Enjoyed the food, sushi is amazing, tastes very fresh. We actually enjoyed it more than the Hibachi. Definitely fresh seafood.... Atmosphere is very intimate and the service is attentive. No Alcohol is served here so it may be a BYOB, didn't think to ask.You may want to call and find our. Standard mask requirements are kept due to the pandemic. Read more
