I don?t know what happened to this place but it used to be the best southern comfort food. We just spent $18 for a 4 oz piece of... salmon and $30 for what I thought was ribeye but was actually prime rib. The prime rib tasted like dirt, or pavement out front.I took 1 bite and then passed it on and couldn?t get anyone else at the table to eat it. So 3 bites off of a piece of prime ribwhich no one offered to refund. Can?t complain about the spinach dip or shrimp which were appetizers and was by far the best outof our meal. But at least we know now. I myself am a business owner and understand the importance of customer service. Typicallywhen you complain or send back your plate not eaten the waiter picks up on it and gets the owner or manager. Our waiter wasclearly not concerned on our thoughts of the food or not being made happy before we left. We still left him a 20% tip. We aren?tbig complainers and this is my first negative review. This place used to be one of our favorites. Their prices went up and nowthe food is poor at best. Read more

This is a nice and clean cafe-restaurant offering delicious southern food. The service is fast and the staff are friendly. I did... like their "fried green tomatoes" and "salmon patties". Since the portions are generous, we did not have any chance to taste thedesserts. I am looking forward to do it for the next time???? Read more

Food is ok? I ordered chicken fried steak with Mac and cheese and baked potato, food was salty and the baked potato was cold,... they put sweet butter on my potato and did not taste good to me. I?ve also ordered fried pickles and they were big chunks ofpickles not the best flavor. Overall all just ok, my server was nice though. But won?t be back. Read more

2022-10 update: Still a great place for food, and service are excellent. We had lunch today that included a chef salad, loaded... chez fries, and a hamburger steak with fried okra and squash casserole. Parking is readily available. Nice atmosphere and a veryquaint bar at the entrance. 2020 review: Great restaurant. Although it?s located in a shopping center you would never know itlooking out with the trellis patio, hanging plants and trees. The modern farmhouse feel inside feels more like a resort. Foodwas southern and delicious. I had a Hamburger steak topped with onions and gravy, mashed potato casserole green beans and apiece of the best corn bread I have had. My wife had a sour dough grilled cheese with and the same mashed potatoes casserole. Wefinished by sharing a piece of buttermilk pie. Separate room for 24 and a small wine and beer bar complete the restaurant.Service was outstanding. 2018-7 Update. Still great food, service and atmosphere. Lunches will run you a little more than $10.My 1/2 rack of ribs ($16) was ?fall off the bone? tender. 2020-2 Update. The restaurant is open for breakfast from 9-11am. Menuis limited but supplement with specials on a chalkboard at the entrance. All items are excellent as is the service and pricing. Read more

This is a pretty good southern style restaurant in Eatonton. The menu looks really good on first glance, but the execution is... not up to par on many items. It is still worth a try as it is nice on the inside, and a good mix to the restaurants in the area. But it could be better in my opinion. Read more

Oh man, what good food. Everyone at the table all agreed we had to out this place on our regular spot to eat when in the area. ... Not only was the food good but the young lady waiting on us was personable, prompt with service, and a happy person. Happy isgood. Read more

My family and I were at Lake Oconee/Greensboro area for 5 nights and tried number of local restaurants. My rating is based on... the restaurants we tried in the area. Follow me to see my other reviews. Not a bad place for lunch. Came here on a Sunday (notmany places opened on Sunday). We thought it's better than Yesterday's Cafe. Started with the spinach dip - not great as it wasa bit watery. Beef tips, country fried steak and steak hoagie were all okay. Collard green was really bland. Read more
