Pleasant waitress... very good at her job, she was quick and accurate. Nice to get complimentary cups and the salsa was... delicious. We ordered the house steak burrito and steak fajitas. We went there cause we love Mexican Food and mind you we did stop there around 3 pm ish so there we very people in there. The... food was fast and mine tasted great, the meat was tenderized very well, but my wife was wondering why her quesadilla just hadground beef in it and no cheese, but we didn?t think any more of it, but that night she had the worst food poisoning she hasever had. The ground beef must have been kept in the danger zone too long and then wasn?t cooked properly after that, so I hateto write a bad review cause I don?t like to ruin anybodies business, but I draw the line when food poisoning comes in. Stopped by on our way to OBX, the spot may look like a dive but the service was quick authentic Mexican. The warm tortilla chips... and house salsa started us off right! Nothing off the charts but they do their staples right. Fresh, local service with asmile! Great option when you aren't looking for gas station eats or a fast food spot. Unique location but pleased. We stayed at a hotel and couldn?t find any places to eat. We saw this restaurant and thought ?why not?. We headed over about 15... minutes and we are glad we did. Food was great, service was great, and a nice atmosphere gave it 4 stars. It did have a coupleof dead flies around so 4/5 but incredible food and worth the drive! The rice and beans were alright, but the rest was pretty bad. The ground beef had very little flavor and the burrito and taco... were lukewarm at best, left me feeling a little queasy. The service was polite but slow. Nothing like the other Mexicanrestaurants I've been to out west. Too bad! Read more
