After a few days to reflect on what was a successful 1st Birthday deserves more than just a few words of appreciation. We hosted... our daughters WILD ONE themed party at Jawny Bakers and it was a hit. Since the restaurant is normally closed for lunch andopens at 4pm we had the whole space for our party of 90. We were able to set up the night before and also come in earlier theday of for any final touches (which helped big time). A week later and all the guests from children that are 5 years old tograndparents over 70 years are still raving over the fun and great time they had. SPACE Overall the space was very intimate butspacious and everyone was able to enjoy while not being crammed like sardines. We also had a caricature artist and a photo boothfor our guests to enjoy (to give insight on the space). FOOD We pre-arranged apps for guests to munch on while everyone rolledin and they were served hot and fresh. Our guests had one of four main options that was pre-selected and ordered in advancewhich was organized by us.They were able to accommodate special dietary request and also adjust a few things to help with ourbudget. The only thing we wished they had was a pre-set menu to make things easier. The kitchen was able to prepare LinguineTetrazzini, Ribs, Steak Sandwich, and Halibut & Chips while serving it fresh and piping hot to our guests. Portions were a greatsize and many had take away boxes. We would definitely give the kitchen 10/10. Thank you for making our guests super happy theyleft filled with delicious food in their bellies. STAFF Originally when inquiring about our event we first dealt with a staffmember that ended up leaving. Having to re-introuduce myself and go over what we wanted to host/what our budget was etc. wasrepetitive but we knew we were in the right hands when we dealt with Olga. Thank you to crew at Jawny Baker's for making our wedding celebration dinner exactly what we wanted. Tom and Lisa were... attentive and everyone had a great time. A special thank you to Olga for taking the time to assure us as we planned this night. The food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Old time East York restaurant located at O’Connor and St.Clair. Friendly staff and good food at a reasonable price. Seating... area is well lit with TVs around for sports games and drinks. Read more

It’s really hard to screw up a steak, so that wasn’t bad, but for the love of all things flavourful can you do a couple... things for your customers? Wash the lettuce, it tastes like it just got pulled out of the earth. Blanche the fries, they needto be slightly cooked, stored away, and used as needed. The way the fries are presented after delivery, you can tell that youjust cut the fries, fries them, and sent them off steaming in a plastic, air tight container. No one pays for sliced potato soupwith no seasoning. Hard to screw up a cobbler too, so well done on that, but everything else was so disappointing and overpriced. $85 for mediocrity is outrageous. Great place to eat, and a great atmosphere. Went there tonight for the first time, the waitress was very welcoming and had a... great sense of humor, and very polite staff. Passed by this restaurant numerous times over the years without having going there. Decided to give it a try and we weren't... disappointed. Spacious style interior with big screen tv's throughout. The service was top notch as the staff were very politeand attentive. The calamari appetizer was one of the best we've ever had anywhere. I had the Halibut fish and chips. The fishwas battered nicely, not a huge serving but was very dense and filling. The fries was the only thing that was not that great,wasn't crispy at all. Oreo cheesecake was also a hit. Definitely will be back to try other menu items. November 1st, 2022 -Stopped by tonight for dinner. Service was great. Had the calamari again fantastic . The main was 8oz centre Sirloin with mashpotatoes was good. Strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Read more
