Popeyes is in my opinion the better mid chain for Fried chicken over KFC. The chicken is crisp and crunchy with great flavor, a... variety of sides and by far the best fast apple pie I've personally had. If I could say one negative thing it would be aboutthe tenders. They taste great but the quality is somewhat inconsistent. I do not feel that is the workers fault, it has to dowith the way the cut of tenders is made. Some are fat and others thin. The chunky ones are my least favorite because the cook onthem feels off and the texture is terrible. Eating it is an exercise at that point, not a pleasure. If I wanted a meaty juicybite I would order on the bone chicken. A basket of long thinner tenders however is a great experience both in taste andtexture. Nobody answers the phone. I ordered 5 pieces of chicken in the drive up, when I got home I opened the box and I have two chicken... straps, fries and a biscut. This is not what I ordered.
