Tonight was our first time visiting Northwoods. I had read really great things about the place and we wanted to try it. We... waited for forever to get our drink order, and when the server came to our table she didn't even greet us. I am pretty sure itis because we were not dressed in our Sunday best. We were basically treated like second class citizens. We had already beenstaring at the menu for a good 25 minutes and she wanted to leave us again because they were according to her extremely busy.There were only 7 tables that had people at them and 4 servers. We finally got our food. The ribs were horrible, they still hadthe rib tips and membrane on them. And they had no flavor. Not worth $28. My burger was flavorless. There was supposed to bebrie on it and I am pretty sure it was mozzarella. It did not taste like brie at all. The burger was super dry and my bun fellapart like it was stale. Definitely not worth $17. My daughter needed a togo box. We watched everyone else get the little traybrought to their table and the server packed up their leftovers, but not us. She just threw our box on the table. The servermade a very snide remark about my husband's card being worn out and she had to punch in the numbers. We will definitely not beback. Not at all. Good service, friendly people and generous portions. Steak was okay, both were under what we ordered and needed some seasoning.... The French onion soup was to die for. It's one of the nicer places in the area, we'd eat there again. Felt a bit pricy for thequality to us. Read more

My husband and I ate here for our 22nd wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The... atmosphere is cozy and quaint. The food was outstanding And the crème brûlée was the perfect way to end an excellent dinner.The chef, Peter came to our table so we could thank him for a wonderful meal. Excellent New Years Eve dinner to close out 2021. Had the new york strip; wife had lamb chops. Disappointed they didn't have... scallops, but meal was great. Read more
Update 11/20/22: Still great service. New chef, etc didn't disappoint! Filet mignon always tender, can cut it with a spoon! The... conch fritters and 2 sauces were phenomenal! Wow... yummm... perfect! Seems to get better every time we've been over the past 2 years. Never disappoints! Iz is our favorite server at this point... muchas gracias senor! Read more
