Parking was OK but had to wait about 15 min for a table. Ordered the cheesy grits topped with over easy eggs and country ham.... Delicious!! Will order again. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Just the right amount iof "hover" and not intrusive. Read more
Arrived at Waffle House about 9pm on October 17. There were 1 cook and 3 wait staff. Upon arrival, the staff were busy talking... to one another, so no one greeted us. We ended up sitting in a booth. A couple of customers were checking out. We didn?tunderstand why it took all 3 of the wait staff to check out the 2 men because 10 minutes passed, and no one came to our table.After the men left, no wait staff approached us. We still waited. When 3 women arrived, one waitress approached themimmediately explaining they could not fill any orders since their 3rd shift cook did not arrive. Why were those women approachedbefore they even sat down? We have compassion for short staffed businesses. The issue for this instance is never being addresseduntil after 3 women arrived and we overheard why we couldn?t order. Why did it take 10 minutes and other customers to find outwe would not be served? My husband asked if we were going to be notified, and the waitress said she was coming over to tell us.Oddly, we actually overheard her talking to the new arrivals. She didn?t really tell us because we sat there for 10 minuteswaiting to be acknowledged by one of the 3 waitresses. Just one. Due to Covid, we?ve encountered many instances whererestaurants were short-staffed. We?re retired, so we have nothing but time. We also tip well for the hard workers who do come towork. Due to this experience, we made multiple attempts to contact corporate about this. I?d like it noted we were the onlycouple of color in the establishment. We did not feel ignored until the 3 white women arrived. At first, we didn?t understandwhy we weren?t acknowledged. Our Perspective: We felt dismissed due to our race. If you knew us, this is not how we expected tobe treated. We prefer to leaving glowing reviews. I was disappointed because I wanted my husband to try Waffle House becausehe?d never eaten there. I order the bacon Texas cheese steak melt and it was pretty good. I wish they would had used more than two pieces of bacon. I... didn't have a bite of it in every time I took one. The hash browns were great as always. I love to get mine just smothered.Overall, it was a good visit. Read more
