Came to Arize this morning with a good friend of mines not really knowing what we wanted to eat until we saw the restaurant and... decided to try them out! Ordered the shrimp and grits (cajun style) and the jamaican omelette! Was very delicious, savoryflavors, very fulfilling! Black owned good music. Side note: when food was ordered they said that there was a 15-20 minutewait so we stepped outside to wait for our food. We were charged a take out fee although we made it known that we were diningin! We asked for a refund and the owner (tall bald head guy) was basically refusing to give a refund saying its not that big ofa deal and that normally people sit inside to wait for food and thats why he charged us. After several conversations about therefund he says since its such a big deal for yall I guess Ill give you a refund! Did not like his attitude about the situationand how he tried to argue us down. The food was good and all but definitely will make me question coming back for a dine in! Read more

Stayed at a nearby hotel. Walked over because I saw a good review. I wasn't disappointed. The menu looked good, hard to make up... my mind. Settled on the breakfast tacos. Three tacos that were loaded with eggs and cheese, side of potatoes that I added to thetacos. But the star of the plate were the cheese grits. Gotta say... some of the best I've ever had. Would highly recommendthis small establishment. Well done ARIZE! Read more

This place has good tasting breakfast, attentive staff, and priced just right. The establishment is compact in size and your... seated pretty close to other neighboring tables, but the food is worth the close contact. I went during a weekday and it wasbusy but not completely occupied. I could only imagine the wait time on a weekend if you don?t arrive when they first open. After reviewing the menu, I knew I had to try the peach cobbler French toast. It was made using Caribbean coco bread, this wasmy first time having French toast outside the typical texas style toast and this bread definitely didn?t disappoint mytastebuds. It was buttery and moist. It absorbed the flavor of the peaches and I didn?t even need to add any syrup, which isalways a plus. The french toast was topped with granola and powdered sugar. I opted for plant based sausage as my protein andthey were seasoned and cooked just like some pork sausage would be. I will be a repeat customer because the service was greatand my food surely was too! Read more

Came here 10.7.22 Definitely a great spot to check out.. Lisa was amazing and food came quick... Little small so I wouldn't... say you can bring huge parties there.. Or maybe they can accommodate it. Either way the food is good.. I had sweet potatopancakes... They were well made.. Grits were a must have to.. I'll definitely be back. Read more

Came here on a Friday. Seated immediately for two people. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about menu. We were served... by Lisa she was great and multitasked very well. I ordered the spice up ya life omelete with cheese grits. My husband orderedthe sweet potato pancakes without the pecans ( it still came with them but we olled with it). Overall great experience and Iwould be back. I do think the place could look nicer with more modern decor or art on the walls. Read more
