Reviews for Holy Crab in East Peoria, IL
The food was awesome! The crab legs and shrimp were really tasty, I would recommend this restaurant for a nice shellfish meal
This place is awesome. Best seafood boil this far North outside of Chicago. The seasoning is perfect (I always get all mixed and... it's ridiculous), the seafood is always cooked to perfection, and the staff is super attentive and friendly. Wasn't super keenon being surrounded by TVs in our booth, but its easy to ignore when you're gnawing on a crab claw. HIGHLY recommend if you're aseafood fanatic. Read more
Pretty good for Midwest snow crab legs (bar is pretty low). I got Cajun with Extra Hot seasoning and it was still pretty mild... for my liking but good flavor. Food came quick and the staff were friendly. Read more
This is a newly opened restaurant. Our server gave us a choice of where to sit. She was very pleasant and attentive. We opted... for a table vs booth. Paper was used a table cloths. My husband ordered a shrimp basket, I ordered the L3 which consisted ofboiled shrimp and snow crab legs, corn cob, potato and egg. Apparently the hard boiled egg is a southern thing. You get a choiceof seasoning and heat level. I chose garlic butter with Old Bay with medium heat. I ordered it all to come in the bag So Icould dip the shrimp and crab in the warm buttery goodness. We were served two complementary holy cream cheese before the foodarrived. My husband and I both thought they were good. I was given a bib, gloves, crab cracker, bucket and wet naps. When mylunch arrived I donned all my gear and planned to get messy. After taking the first bite of the crab leg, the one thing Iimmediately noticed, it tasted fresh. There were no bad aftertaste or bitterness or strong seafood smell. The shrimp came withthe shell on it. Both were delicious. I was not disappointed. Being we are not from around the area, I will be looking forwardto making a trip back and having the L3 for lunch again. Read more

Couple things. I understand they just opened and are working out the kinks. Our waitress was very nice but never came to our... table to take our order for 20 min. I think she busy doing other things in back as I seen her taking the garbage out with 3other people just standing there. I ordered the lunch snow crab and shrimp. It came out in a plastic bag with 1egg 1 potato 1corn on the cob, shrimp and crab legs. The food was good and I'll definently try it again. I did order fried oysters and frieswith this but they came out after the shrimp and crab. That was really good, fries were crisp and not greasy as was the oystersalso. The atmosphere was good as well, simple but works. My friend had only the lunch shrimp. For the 3 orders and 2 drinks orbill came to a little over $50. I personally think the pricing is a little on the high side for what you get. Without theoysters and fires the bill would of been closer to $40. It might take a bit to work out some kinks and hopefully they willlisten to the customers feedback and adjust. Read more
