No pictures , I apologized but we were in the area & decided to try this place for lunch today. We?ve been to many Greek... eateries in Suffolk (mostly central Suffolk in case this makes a difference) & we?ve never been served such a tiny gyro. We?vealso never been given a gyro that didn?t have at least lettuce & tomato on it. We got the combo gyro with side salad. The gyrowas minimal. We also ordered the lunch small salad with shrimp for $14.50. It was an extreme disappointment. Shrimp was lowquality , rubbery (I?m sure frozen & possibly freezer burned) and tasteless. Way too many onions in the salad & couldn?t removethem because they were chopped. Meal (Just gyro) was questioned & to the owners credit , he was not rude at all just simplyexplained that that?s how they do it. Anyway, always stinks to have a disappointing meal. We?re in the area for doc apptsoccasionally but won?t be back unfortunately. Read more
Had a lovely dinner with a friend here. Salad with grilled chicken. It was very good and very reasonable
I had a hankering for a good Spanikopita last night. I've had the gyros from here before and they were good (though to be candid... a gyro is a gyro to me; kinda hard to mess that up). I placed my order for pick up and grabbed my spinach pie - cost me nearly$9. Completely reasonable for an appetizer except you don't get a pie (I've gotten this same appetizer from other Greek Placesand you get a massive circular tin or something similar). Here, you get a very small slice of a pie wrapped in paper and to makematters worse, it wasnt even good. It was drier than it was moist as it should be and I could barely find any feta cheese in it.A disappointment to say the least. I'll stick with Aegean Grill going forward. Read more
I moved to Rocky Point almost three years ago and have not found a Greek place that compares to Athens Square! So tonight?s meal... was amazing!! I wish there were duplicates of this tasty deliciousness out east!! Read more
We tried this restaurant based on getting a coupon for 4 sandwiches and a large Greek salad for $42. Not a bad deal. But you get... what you pay for. I love falafel which is ground chick peas that are fried. One of the sandwiches ordered was falafel (at leastI think it was falafel) and it looked and tasted like nothing I?ve ever seen before. We also ordered souvlaki sandwiches whichwere decent but small. Now I know why the total was $42. We tried it. Would we ever go back? I don?t think so. Read more

Hidden Greek Gem. Gyros the way I remember them from Astoria. The Gyros are the bomb, best I've ever had since the 1980s and... their Yogurt sauce is not overwhelming and just perfect! I promise you will not be disappointed! Read more
