The Mac and cheese egg roll was sooooo good. I would come back just for that! Fried chicken was really good. Tasty and perfectly... crisp skin. My waffles (had chicken and waffles) were undercooked and couldn't eat them. Food is made to order, so come herewith time. No alcohol served. Read more
Ordered take out here for the first time. Was not really impressed with the food. My order was the 3pc Fried Chicken, Mac &... Cheese, Rice & Beans, 2pc Whiting w/ 6pc Shrimp and Fries, Fried Okra and Hush Puppies. The fries were crinkle cut fries, whilethere was a good portion, they tasted flat and unflavored. Even with some added salt, it didn't help. The Hush Puppies werelarge, corn meal covered in flour. At first I thought they were Jamaica fried dumplings, as they had the shape and look.However, they seemed to absorb the oil they were cooked in, as if it were the same oil used for the fries and everything elsecooked in oil. The fish was good, but the fried shrimp were small and so-so. As for the fried chicken, this was good as my wifeenjoyed it. We were evenly split over the Mac & Cheese, I thought it was ok along with the rice and peas. These portions weresmaller. The fried Okra was a disappointment for her, as this is one of her favorite side items. Not sure if this is indicativeof the usual fare from this resturant as I have not experienced this before trying the take out on their limited menu. I wouldrecommend allowing customers to choose the sides as their regular menu suggests, as I would not have done fries or the saladoption with the fish. Maybe when things return to normal, we might give it another try. But for now, I'm not sure I'd pay foranother take out meal at this time Read more
