We had a lot of fun here! Their food felt like upscale, authentic southern and had some great flavors. We ordered some oysters... on their Monday special and really enjoyed passing the time here. Although their food is definitely on the pricier side ofthings, their well developed flavors and inviting atmosphere make it all worthwhile. Read more

Have been here a handful of times. I?ve never had a particularly great experience here. As other reviewers have mentioned; there... are other spots in the GR area that offer better service and quality for comparable prices. With that being said, we?ve ordereda multitude of entrees over our visits. Generally the food is good at best. We have not sent anything back to the kitchen. I ama huge oyster fan and have been less than impressed with their blue points on Mondays. The other species they have generally areup to par (can?t really be picky about oysters in Grand Rapids though). Service is incredibly hit or miss from my experiences. Most recently, our host didn?t offer ANY words/smile/anything. She simply grabbed the menus and took off expecting us to followher. Our server was very short and punchy with us, as if we were inconveniencing her. Other servers seemed joyful tending toother tables though, so I can?t speak as a whole here. Our tab was just over $100, which included a medium priced wine, oysters, and two entrees. As we exited the restaurant, we walked past the very empty bar and the same dry hostess. Not one individualoffered a ?goodbye?. I don?t know that I can recommend this restaurant for anything other than it is one of two places thatserve fresh oysters in GR. If you?re looking for strictly a medium scale meal, there?s better options. Read more

The food is delicious and quickly served. The server was wonderful. The serving size for the jambalaya was a little small for... the price but that wouldn?t stop me from coming back. The shrimp platter was a large portion. We ended up ordering an appetizerat the end of our meal Read more
