This was my second time staying at the Summit Mountain Lodge. Their cabins are amazing, the steakhouse serves great food, the... location is perfect if you want to use it as a base for visiting both East and West Glacier. The hosts are amazing and theyhave built this place themselves :) Saw a fox right on our porch the first evening, and a moose enjoying the waters across fromthe cabin the next morning! Read more

Food came out quickly, but was served cold. My friend and I both ordered the beef tenderloin and while it was cooked correctly, ... it was barely warm and mine had a large section of grizzle. There were about three tables. Of mashed potatoes beneath some rawbroccoli and a single raw julienne carrot and some soggy squash slices. Topped with a few wilted spinach leaves. Was atop thatsat the steak which was supposed to be topped with salted tomatoes and gargonzola. Tomatoes were graded tomatoes, halfed andrefrigerator cold and Gorgonzola didn't make it on the plate Husband ordered the ribeye and it was also served cold andovercooked his Brabant potatoes were also vquite cold. Food was very expensive at $39/meal. Very disappointed with quality Asto the environment it was nice service was good But, there were flies both living and dead everywhere. Read more

If your looking for the best dinner at Glacier Park you must eat at this restaurant! My family and I had a beautiful view... outside on the deck on the river! Service was friendly and food was quickly served. We hiked allll day so if your looking forthe best meal and drinks in the park you should visit Summit Mountain! We were staying at the Summit Campground right down the road and were looking for a place to have a nice dinner as it was our... anniversary. Were we pleased to find the Summit Mountain Lodge & Steakhouse was only about 1/4 mile away. It was a Friday nightand we went in around 6:00, the hostess was friendly and asked if we had a reservation. We said that we did not, but that wedid not mind if there was a wait, we were just looking to relax and celebrate. She was able to seat us right away at awonderful table with stunning views. Our server promptly came to take our drink orders and left us to look over the menu. Weboth had the ribeye, cooked to perfection. For dessert we chose the cheesecake, which we took to go and enjoyed back atcamp. While we were inside quite a thunderstorm passed through, it was so warm and cozy in the dining room, a perfect place totake shelter from the storm. After dinner we went outside and took in the views from the property, which were spectacular afterthe rain, and we even saw a moose! Sad that one of the only restaurants near East Glacier will not do to-go food. We have 2 dogs with us and cannot eat in but... we're looking forward to a Steak dinner. Called to order two dinners around $100 worth of food as they are 5 min from the RVpark we're staying In and they would not do it. We stayed at summit mountain lodge in early September and we we're very pleased. They were able to get us a cabin last minute as... our previous lodging didn't work out. We stayed for two nights and had dinner one night. The cabins were small and cozy, clean,and had everything we needed including a fridge and coffee maker. The beds were clean and comfortable and the room was rusticand charming. The restaurant was fantastic. Delicious main courses, great specials, and we had double desserts two nights in arow!! So delicious. The owners were extremely accommodating, polite, genuine and all around fantastic... I hope to visit againwhen we're out hiking in glacier. Highly recommended... Read more
