Best breakfast in ellijay, will not let you down. I suggest either the belly buster, or the sampler. Both an amazing amount of... food, that is fantastic taste and always hot. Probably the best coffee I've ever got at a restaurant Read more

Not sure how this place gets a 4.3 but definitely one of the worst bbq/country cooking places I been to. Chicken was minced... meat, pork was OK and tenderloin was very thin. Wife's food was cold and shrimp barely cooked. Only plus was had great sweettea. Read more

The family and I stopped here while on vacation. The food was awesome, and the staff took it even further. According to google... maps they closed at 8, yet the actual closing was 3pm. They still took a party of 10 on, and explained that it was an act ofGod to have google change it. No surprise there. They also hooked the kids up with French toast and bacon, 3 hours afterbreakfast should have been done. When we return to Ellijay, this is where we?re eating BBQ. Thanks for the great food, andgreat service. Read more

I'm not impressed at all. So we stopped for a late lunch, and our server was very nice. That's the best part. Here is the... bad. We started off with an appetizer. Smoked bacon cheese tots. This was awful! Can cheese poured on soggy tots, and anoverwhelming smoke taste of the bacon was served to our table. While waiting for this waste of $ 8 to arrive, we ordered ourlunch. They had pork. No ribs, burnt ends, brisket, and turkey, so I said, "What do yall have?" She said they were popular fortheir breakfast. But since we were there for lunch she went to see what they had. She came back and said they had smokedchicken. So I ordered that. My wife ordered a sandwich. A pile of scraped off the grill smoked chicken showed up. Black piecesof what was left over from a chicken prior to us were what we got. I wish I had pictures! The whole time, a gentleman and hiswife stood in the dining room talking about their competitor stealing their catering business by under bidding thisestablishment. Owners should conduct their business like business. Not gossip. Not that it matters to me its principle and belowboard. Our whole experience was awful. We will not return or recommend this establishment but will tell this story of our 2022February trip to the Mountains. Read more

Not quite sure where to start on this one. It was highly rated by Google reviews, so we thought it was worth a shot. While the... atmosphere is pleasant, much like that of a home-cooked country restaurant, the food tasted just about anything but home-cooked.The tomato sauce and green bean cans being used for light fixtures probably should have tipped us off. For the record, weordered lunch and not breakfast. Breakfast might be fantastic for all we know, but unfortunately will not go back to dine out. Iordered the burnt ends sandwich, which the menu indicates is not always available. What I received was cold, chewy, fatty, blandbrisket in between two pieces of grilled Texas toast. My side was baked beans, which tasted like they?d just been pulled fromthe refrigerator, they were so cold. The bbq sauce was from a can, which really didn?t enhance the flavor of anything. If theyactually smoke this meat, I?d be curious as to how they smoke it and what they it with because it had no smoke flavor to itwhatsoever. It tasted like it had been boiled in a pot, reheated from a couple of days ago. My wife had the Philly Cheesesteak, which she said was okay but nothing to write home about. Her side was the onion rings, which whole greasy, were good anddefinitely homemade. The bill was about $30, which was WAY too much for the quality of food we were served. I had read thatanother reviewer commented on the nastiness of the bathroom and they were correct, 100%. The restrooms at Pilot truck stops arehonestly cleaner. Sorry but this place needs a LOT of work. Read more
