Menu for Roycroft Inn in East Aurora, NY

I wish I could give this place 6 stars, it is that good. The Roycroft Campus has a special place in the history of the Arts and... Crafts movement, and has American Historical Location status. The Roycroft Inn is an architectural treasure in itself, filledwith Renaissance artifacts in every corner. The staff are super-helpful, friendly and efficient. Don't miss the restaurant,either, the complimentary breakfast is superb and I especially recommend the Creme Brulee to finish your dinner. Definitely anexperience not to be missed. Read more

Pretty and nostalgic place. Thats the only reason for 2 stars. I really do not have much nice to say. Lets start with the fact... that the room was dirty. There was garbage left on the floor next to the bed from a previous guest. Second, I am disappointed intheir customer service skills. The older woman checking you in and out in the mornings is so fake. She puts on this high pitchvoice that it makes me want to roll my eyes out my head. It is not genuine at all. There was a younger man working there too. Hehad a question about something, and her response was her showing her true colors. In front of me she said to this other worker,"Ugh, I just showed you how to do this.. I do not know how many times I have to show you.." Her voice completely changed to alower hoarse tone in that response to him. I really do not need Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde signing me in and out. I will note thatthis kid worked all the day the day before too. It looks like they cannot get workers. I think she is part of the reason why.The final issue is that I had a reservation from last year for my sister's wedding so our rooms would be closer. They stuck meon the other side in the "guest house". Why even make a reservation then? It was quite expensive too for what we actually got. Iwill not be back. Read more

We had an amazing steak dinner on the peristyle tonight. The steaks were cooked and melted in our mouths The peanut butter pie... was divine. Amazing service from servers David and Maren. Thank you for an absolutely fabulous dinner out! We will return!!! Read more

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. For what you're paying, it's very poor quality/portions. The appetizers were great,... but when it came to the entrees it was a huge disappointment. When I asked about the lobster chowder, the waitress said it was a"hefty portion". Not really. It's an 8 ounce lobster tail with a cup of chowder for $58. It's also not seasoned at all as ittasted very bland. Not to mention there was no taste of black truffle (as described on the menu). The waitress never stopped byto ask "how's your meal" and the only time we saw her was when the check came after the food was served. The lobster wasovercooked and rubbery. Very chewy. For $140+ we got a very disappointing service. I feel like you're paying for the name wheneating here. We normally go to remington tavern when celebrating our anniversary. I was there for lunch with long time friends and the Faroe Island Salmon was the best I'd even eaten. And the accompanying... vegetables were perfect. And to top it off our waitress Eva was delightful. Needless to say it was wonderful and I will be back!We were celebrating being friends for over 75 years and dessert was gratis, an unexpected surprise and treat!???? Read more
