The food was good, as always. However, our server, James, was not great. We were seated at a table with syrup on it and he... resented my request to clean it off. We were given tableware that was definitely not clean. He served our coffee and water bygrabbing the cups and glasses by the rims with his bare hands. I asked for FRESH coffee. I did not get it. I didn?t complainabout any of these things, but I am going to talk to the manager the next time I?m there. Read more

We all know and love Cracker Barrel favorites but the new addition of Fried Pickles are wonderful. The price is inexpensive but... wish more chips were included to be able to share. Excellent (maybe) homemade ranch for filling. Read more

Wow, never have I had such a horrible meal from this company. I included pics. I ordered the Roast Beef, 33 slices with fried... okra, mashed potatoes with brown gravy, greens and carrots. I received 2 slices of cold, dry roast beef. In fact the entire mealwas cold. I was actually able to lift my mashed potatoes straight off of the plate in one clump. It was very, very, bland. Yourbest bet is to completely bypass this location and stop somewhere else. Read more

This location has been my go to for many years. Since it first opened honestly. Lately though, dining in is really questionable.... The last two times we visited, it was SUPER slow service, an hour wait AFTER we were seated. Food was alright but not great. Wewaited WAY too long for cold fried fish and hard cornbread muffins. My daughter loves to eat there so that's why we went. I mayjust stick to shopping at the store but skipping the meal altogether. Since the pandemic, eating out anywhere is so hit or miss. It's a shame. I hope it improves. Read more

We arrived about 9:30 on a Sunday morning and it was very busy but got seated within about 10 minutes. Our server was very... pleasant but it seemed she had an awful lot of customers to tend to. My biscuits and gravy were served in a paper lined basket.Just didn't seem it would be feasible to try to eat them that way. I did get a plate when I asked for one. The sausage flavoredgravy was ok, at best, and the biscuits were very small. The sausage patties were thin and a little on the tough side and low onflavor. The 4 rating I'm giving here is more for the server than the restaurant itself. Read more

The parking lot is very big and level. Also close and convenient to the awsome small town of St. Charles that has good street... parking and a huge parking lot at "The Boat House / L&C" Museum. Read more

Absolute worst experience. What used to be a family restaurant with children is gone. Our grandson was the only child in the... place. We were bombarded with pictures of alcoholic drinks everywhere! The menus are advertisements of alcoholic drinks!! After a very long wait, our server told us the meal we ordered was not available. We were served our sides whilst the rest atetheir meal. Our visitors from South Africa were greatly disappointed in the quality of food. Our server was very nice but, sadly, there is a break in quality. A note to the corporate office - you?ve lost the family element that made Cracker Barrel awonderful place to go. You?ve now become just another restaurant that promotes alcohol. We grieve in that. We?ve lost anAmerican icon to the corporate bad management. *Follow up- I received an email regarding our review. I responded with theinformation requested. I received no further response from Cracker Barrel. *Follow up- We we?re a group of six people. Theysent ONE complimentary dessert coupon TO SHARE. Very generous of them. We won?t be back to Cracker Barrel. That is really a rudeway to treat an honest review. Read more

With much regret, our experience at one of our favorite restaurants was horrendous. The service was less than desirable and food... was cold. I?m not sure why context clues weren?t used, but the butter on the pancakes was not melting, that?s a clear indicationthat something is not right. My daughter?s egg scramble was Luke warm, we had to ask 6 times for some honey before we got it,and the tea cups were dirty. We had to ask someone to clean the chairs that were simply filthy, and wait for the booster seatand high chair that we requested when we checked in upon arrival. When I mentioned to the server that my eggs were cold and hadshells in them, he stated, ??if I made them, they would have been perfect,? instead of offering a solution. I told him I didn?twant the eggs, his response was that they are still a part of the meal. Again, not a solution to the problem. It was a verydisappointing experience that makes me rethink returning to this location. One final note, I understand that they may have beenshort staffed, countless companies are experiencing the same set back, but they are willing to learn how to adapt to overcome. Ihope things get better. Read more
